This wagon is very difficult to hold on to...

Garnet pendant. Very cute, but actually too small for my taste - I clicked before they measured or I never would have gone for it!

I don't like these. It was never really going to suit me as a plain strand - I had hoped it might look nice reversed, with the extender as a pendant. It doesnt! Additionally, the colour is not a patch on my other lovely red pearls. I actually forgot I already have this one I bought on eBay a few years ago:

Much nicer I'm afraid.

This is the blue version of the necklace above. I again found that it doesn't work as a necklace on me - even tried putting a pendant on this one but I just don't suit that style at all. However, the pearls are absolutely gobsmackingly beautifully coloured, so I persevered, and I think I can get away with wearing it as a loopy bracelet. What do you think?

OMG these are STUNNING!!! The colour is best seen in the first pic, but you can see the design better in the second one. They are really "red carpet" looking, I was astounded when I opened the box. I have to confess they're a wee bit heavier than I like, but I've just tried to talk myself around to believing the last weigh-in which came in a couple of grammes under! I'm wearing them now as a test, had them in around 5 hours without pain, so fingers crossed!!

citrine041.jpg

I also have the garnet version. They are gorgeous too, though maybe a wee bit similar to my other garnet chandeliers. I haven't decided about them yet, the garnet doesn't stand out against my hair as well as the citrine does, and of course I'm biding my time till the weight test on the citrines is complete.

This is pretty - a lovely big look at a bargain price. I do have to wear it up my arm a bit - those "plates" hurt when they knock against my hand - kind of like having a butter knife pressed against you. Won't cut, but not comfortable. I am still contemplating, but I think I'll keep it.

And the big splashout on this haul was the apatite bangle. I have to admit it didn't blow me away like I expected, but it is very pretty. A wee bit big, but works OK further up my arm - just wish it was either perfect or smaller or cheaper! I suspect that I'll regret it if I send it back, something of this nature has been on my wish list for years, and this is the first I've seen. I think therefore it will stay.

I also had the following earrings, didn't bother taking pics as they're going back and crammed into bags:

Very disappointed as they're smaller than expected and I thought it was an irregular shape faceted stone.

Pretty, but hard to tell what they'll look like in as they're folded over in the bag.

These are even harder to tell what they will look like, they're tangled as well as folded and I haven't a clue how long they will be if opened.

Very insignificant when you see them, the spiral is smaller than I thought too.

Same as the amethyst really, can't tell how they'll look and they're not soooo tempting I'll take the risk.

Would be happy to hear your comments, especially what you think of the apatite bangle - and what I've done with the blue pearls. If it looks silly, tell me, I haven't posted the returns yet!! And if anyone is interested in taking any of the returns, let me know as I missed today's post so I have a week before they go back.

Well, absolute truth. I don't like the pink pearls, although having said that I LOVE the blue pearls, they are gorgeous. It would be really easy to make it into a 2 strand bracelet Anne. I love the earrings too, but prefer the garnet ones

The 'armour' bracelet is very unusual, hope you get on with it, and the appatite bangle, very, very pretty, but if it's too big, will it get on your nerves to keep pushing it up your arm?

:doggie:

OMG I love the earrings - really really love them - being honest I think you'd regret sending the garnet ones home hunny - they are stunning. Love the blue pearls too and maybe a thought here - if you see a big silver disc pendant with a blue stone in it - maybe it'd work as a necklace? Dunno about that too much but they certainly work as a bracelet! I'm not blown away by the apatite strangley - it sounds like everything I could want, but there is something I'm no sure about. I know this possibly sounds daft but maybe there is just too much apatite? I'm not sure you wil understand what I'm getting at tbh! but for me it'd be better broken up by some silverwork showing through too.

But OMG those earring! Love 'em!

The blue pearls are totally scrummy and I love what you've done to them.

The citrine earrings are gorgeous. I've had my eye on that style and if you change your mind about the garnet version please pm me. :)

I like the garnet pendant, I bought the topaz version for my daughter. It is on the small side (I love BIG pieces too) but she's only 12. Would it fit over a string of beads?

I'm not sure about the apatite bangle, which is absolutely no help to you at all, sorry! I don't think the colour jumps out at you and I know these bangles are (relatively) expensive, so you'll have to decide if you're getting real value.

PQ, I LOVE your garnet pieces, earrings and pendant alike! Also love the citrine? earrings and the Apatite bangle too! Great choices :D I think i'm going to have to mooch around Rocks as i would love some more garnet pieces myself.

PQ send the apatite bangle back - its too big!!! I love this design and if it was smaller I would be tempted to buy all the selections but I have a pearl bangle which I kept (from gems) as I loved the design buy hardly wear it as it is too big and annoying!

Love the blue pearls as m4g says you could easily convert it to stretchy bracelets or send it to me I will do it for you :) The earrings are stunning keep the garnet version too suits you.

Thanks for the opinions everyone, some things to think about!

Those "pink" pearls are meant to be red! But you're probably closer! The bangle does seem to stay put up my arm, so I don't think it would be too bad to wear.

I did try a pendant on the blue pearls Debs, I just don't suit the solid darkness around my neck at all. I can't really get away with black cords for pendants either, just doesn't suit me and the pearls come off similar to that.

The blue pearls are totally scrummy and I love what you've done to them.

I will let you know if the garnet earrings are going back Calvin. But I don't think the bale on the pendant is big enough to go over beads or pearls - it's a dainty little thing and the bale is in proportion.

PQ send the apatite bangle back - its too big!!! I love this design and if it was smaller I would be tempted to buy all the selections but I have a pearl bangle which I kept (from gems) as I loved the design buy hardly wear it as it is too big and annoying!

Tempted to take you up on that offer BH, I think maybe I'd like the pearls as a stretchy bracelet instead! I wouldn't know where to start though, so if you're serious I'll have a think about it!

I love the earrings PQ, and I'm really jealous. For me I only like danglies, but can't wear them as the scaffolding gets in the way. I can absolutely see why you don't want to let go of the blue poils, and they look terrific as a bracelet.

The apatite bracelet is beautiful, but this is a comparatively soft stone and may not like being knocked about as well as being uncomfortable for you. <a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxpt484YYGB%2526i%253D4%252F4%255F9%255F7%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_9_7.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D4%252F4_9_7%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a>

To be honest PQ I think you should send the Apatite bangle back ... it's too big and could end up just sitting in your jewellery box unloved and unworn. Also the colour seems a bit flat IYKWIM ... I have an Apatite pendant and pair of earrings and the stone is so bright and sparkly it just "pops".

I love, love the Citrine earrings on you ... they suit you perfectly so I'd be tempted to keep the Garnet ones too.

I have several pearl necklaces from Rocks including the blue one and love them all. I was tempted by the red one but after seeing your photo I'm pleased I didn't bother because it certainly is more pink than red.

Brilliant photos as always Anne ... thanks for sharing.

Anne have you thought about wearing more strands of pearls together i have a few well actually about 25 different ones, and often wear a couple together in contrasting colours and using an extender on one strand and not on the other to make different lengths I have the red pearl necklace and mine is quite a dark red and i also have the blue ones and the colour is really nice on those
I think i agree with the peeps who said they would send the bangle back sorry as i know you love it but although its pretty i think later you might regret it especially if you see something else thats stunning later on love all your other pieces well done

I love the citrine earrings, they look lovely against your colouring, I also like the garnet ones - have been thinking of getting a pair of these myself! I like the garnet pendant as well. The blue pearls are a gorgeous shade, taking up the offer to make them into a stretchy bracelet sounds like a fab idea. The red pearls fade into insignificance & look washed out when you see the colour on the 2nd necklace, was thinking about these but am now put off after seeing your pic.

Personally I'd return the apatite bangle, it wasn't cheap & as you say it "didn't blow you away", better off saving your money for something that will make you go "WOW". I've kept a few things before I've been unsure about, they remain either unworn or given away to family etc, ok if an items relatively inexpensive, but if it's not......

Ps thanks again for the lovely pictures :)
