because given its tasteless offering of a beach party considering what is making the news, and will dominate for days - doesn't it seem a bit crass to be having a party on screen. The words respect and appropriate spring to mind

shows how out of touch Gems is with its audience now do you not think!!!

hi Vegasplayer, read your post, and thought i would see what you were on about! OMG what on earth does Matt think he looks like! I am very surprised that they are not doing a limbo dance, in as much as i mean, how low can you go? they have gone so low in tastelessness, that they are scrapping the barrel - and that blooming shark! Just when you think gems couldnt sink any lower, they have done. They have lost it, big time; :flower:

I'm really sorry, think the beach party theme is daft, but the world hasn't stopped spinning because Michael Jackson died.

Nothing stopped when my parents died, and they were the most important people in my life. Constant 24 hour coverage of a celebrity death is excessive and odd in my opinion. That doesn't mean that I didn't appreciate his talent.

xxx

Have to agree with you Argey, sad as it is, Michael Jackson's death is not the end of the world.

When I flicked on this morning, I did wonder what on earth was going on at Gems Towers, and felt sorry for Matt having to make a dipstick of himself in that get up!!!

Are they doing the beach party thing to try and make you forget about the pay day weekends they've been doing the last few months ie 15% off the last weekend of each month?

It worked on me :emo: Good point!

LOL - have to say after reading this thread I rushed off to have a look/see ................. and have ordered from GTV for 1st time in ages. They had a pair of black diamond stud earrings for £99 which I saw earlier today in their shop for £151 and which I badly wanted for my collection. So hastily ordered and found free P&P to boot! :clapping:As their P&P has stopped me from ordering recently (the Isle of Wight is standard postage not Islands & Highlands) this really was a bonus so thanks guys for getting me interested - although my credit card is still sulking.:giggle:

i watched again, after Matt, it was a double act with Nick and Lynne; Nick being his usual hyperactive self, and lynne looked so drained and off colour, she didnt look at all well, felt sorry for her - mind you i dont think i would feel too great having to put up with playing with a beach ball with nick; it just seemed a bit stilted to me. :cheeky:

I've noticed Lynne looking unwell a few times lately. I think it may actually be her make-up. She always has a (shall we say) unique style of her own, but has toned it down lately, no blusher with kohl outlined eyes. Her towing of the company "line" gets to me, but I can't help lovin' her just the same. <a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxpt484YYGB%2526i%253D36%252F36%255F2%255F75%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_2_75.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D36%252F36_2_75%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a>

It's much cheaper to give away free p & p on orders over £70 this weekend than 15% as they have the last few last weekends of the month.

I always get a giggle when they're selling a massive tanzy or similar with loads of 0s in the price, and then say we are "giving" away a free upgrade box and free p&p. While I'm on the "free" whinges, what about the personal shopper for which service there is "no charge". Can you imagine going into Tiffany's, Asprey's or some such and you come out with a tatty old brown cardboard box and the shop assistant says that'll be an additional £50 for being allowed to buy. :thinking2: xxx

I bought the pink elephant ring box - well one thing you cant do is put rings with a raised setting in it - the lid wont shut! lol, so i use his trunk to put my rings, or my earrings; i feel sorry for him though, he wears a fixed gaze of extreme surprise; I havent bought anything since March - nothing seems to grab me at the moment, and not even the free postage if i spend over £70 can entice me, i havent a brass razoo to rub together, and its 4 days to pay day; although i would love to have tanzanite - but my dreams will not be able to come true, probably until the end of this year, got too many committments approaching on the horizon (car tax being one of them) i will have to do a lot of Jedi Mind Control on my husband, between now and christmas LOL. :flower:

Now there's something I bet you couldn't get in Tiffany's <a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxpt484YYGB%2526i%253D4%252F4%255F1%255F112%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_1_112.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D4%252F4_1_112%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a> xxx
