Mucky minds - my GemsTV bits I mean! Ok, so this is what arrived today - bought in the Ultra Clearance Sale with 10% discount on top. If Gems give me another 10% (pretty please!) I'll be checking out more today!

First up the one that's going back:

http://www.gemstv.co.uk/Shop/productDataSheet.jsp?productid=UTG6641&menuselection=3&colourScheme=1

I bought this to use the Zircons in another project but in all honesty they're crud. They've got windows the size of patio doors so even for £27 it's not worth keeping. Going back! (No photos because this ring doesn't deserve it)!

Now for the keepers:

http://www.gemstv.co.uk/Shop/productDataSheet.jsp?productid=UMY2483&menuselection=3&colourScheme=1 £199 less discount

In three words? I love it. The pink diamonds are a rose pink and in some lights look fuscia pink and very very very very very sparkly. Unfortunately my camera never captures sparkles but I hope you get the idea from these photos. The white diamonds on the other hand are not. They're on the milky dull side. They're not bad enough to look grey but they're bordering on it. As the pinks sparkle so brilliantly, you actually don't notice that it's being let down by the whites. At some point I will replace the whites with decent quality diamonds because I adore the shape of this ring and it gives great finger coverage. It lives up to expectations and probably exceeds it. For the money, it's a definite keeper and a great ring that will probably get worn a lot! This is a great example of a ring that £ for £ couldn't be matched on the High Street.

This is tiny! Really teenie weenie but the rubies are a lovely traffic light red (they look pink in my photos but they're not) and the black rhodium claws made them stand out. Even though it's small, on the neckline you notice it because the reds stand out so much. On the downside? The diamonds (again) are pants. The goldwork also leaves MUCH to be desired. The edges are uneven and at the corners it even looks like it's missing diamonds (when you look close). However, for £33.99 it's a great every day pendant and again, value for money. If you're looking for a pressie for somebody then I'd recommend this - and it does look better than in my photos (sorry)!

This was a surprise late entry into my basket. I had missed out on a watch on air and so decided to have a wander around the website looking at watches. This caught my eye and having had watches from Gems before I know what great quality and value they are. So, it jumped straight into the order. This is phenomenal. Highly highly highly recommended. The watch bit is very substantial (in weight) but looks incredibly delicate on. The diamonds, oh dear, not great, but I'm not sure you really notice them anyway!!! The straps are very easy to change and when on, the watch is so comfortable you don't even notice you have it on. The dial is a mother of pearl but very subtle. I like to wear watches loose and my wrist is around 6.5-7" but I reckon this would fit anything from a 6-8" wrist (perhaps a little larger/smaller. What I am going to do is see if I can find a stainless steel strap now to complete the look (for those white gold days)! Love it!

Phew!!!! I thought we were in for a mass censorship of yours bits Meesh :4:

Very pretty selection, and I must say, I've never been a fan of the black rhodium plating, but having seen it photographed, rather than on screen, it looks sooooo much better.

Love the pink diamond ring, as you say, not a small look on your mitt, and the watch, a very versatile piece.

Lovely things, Meesh! (Speaking personally, I don't think too many of us on this forum would have been all that interested in your other bits...)

Lovely bits shame all the white diamonds are a let down though, i noticed some platinum rings in their shop so out of curiosity i emailed and asked for the clarity and colour and they said they were I clarity and I colour, what a let down why set I clarity diamonds in platinum?

I clarity diamonds in platinum? That is ridiculous!

Hi y'all - entered here with great trepidation :thinking2:

Love your bits Meesh, and am so glad the pink ring wasn't a disappointment. I love it too and twas nice to see it irl. xxx

All your bits are very pretty, Meeshoo! :giggle:

The pink diamond ring is especially pretty and looks lovely on your hand.

Have to admit I was really surprised what a difference (in a good way) the black rhodium plating made to the look of your pendant.
I really like it and I've always been put off when I've seen it used on other pieces.

Slightly off topic .... only slightly, promise! :cheeky:

This pink diamond pendant was in the "ultra" clearance sale last night and went for £97

Today it's in the shop section for £254.58!!!!

Very nice bits Ms Meeshoo :D. Shame about the Zircon stones....it looks like it could have been a lovely ring. Like M4G i'm not the biggest fan of the black rhodium look, but your pendant looks quite nice, the watch looks a great versatile piece....and the pink diamonds, 2 words. wow droolworthy!!! :D

Lovely haulage......

Phew that was a quick delivery Meesh. I don't think my 'bits' have even been shipped as yet.

Lovin your Pinkie, even from the link you posted earlier it was obvious how pink the pinkies were. I had seen it for sale previously
and thought the design very sweet. It also looks great on your hand, a very feminine shape....iykwim.

Shame about the whities though, I've never understood why the setters don't choose the best ones for pieces such as this. I returned some time ago one of their yellow + white diamond designs, nice looking ring but the WD's didn't pass muster on close inspection!

Anyway, hoping for the best I've ordered a pink + white diamond ring, with the baguette shaped WD's.......hope I don't regret it!

Love the watch you ordered Meesh, unusual shaped face but looks very nice on, a new strap will set it off a treat. Not only are the Gems watch designs very attractive but they seem to be reliable as well....in my experience.

Hope you are feeling a bit better today, Mini Meesh also. xx

Thanks everybody for your kind words.

On the black rhodium plating - it's not "obvious" in real life but what it does do is set off the coloured gemstones. I'm not keen when they use this with blue diamonds because it can make the blues too dark. If the blues are lighter, it really enhances them though.

Well, I've given up on getting another 10% so have bitten the bullet and phase 2 arrives tomorrow! Sacha - I've got the tanzy/diamond baguette combo ring coming. It was a toss up between the ruby/diamond and the tanzy one but I figured that the tanzy would be more versatile even though you can bet your life that the tanzies are so pale they'll be washed out!

That looks a very substantial ring Meesh, heaps of WG. Hope the Tanzies will be bright enough and that the diamonds sparkle nicely!

Have you paid a higher p&p rate for delivery tomorrow......I checked out on Sunday and paid £6.95 and am still waiting for my order to be despatched? :thinking2:

Yes Sacha. I paid for next day £9.95 and checked out at 2pm (ish) today and have already had confirmation it'll be delivered tomorow! I did that with my other order too. I know it's £3 more but I'd rather get it quick (no patience you see) and then I can return it quick if it's pants :giggle:

I'm gonna be a jibbering wreck, I've got a couple of weeks before mine starts sifting through (named day delivery for after pay day). <a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxpt484YYGB%2526i%253D23%252F23%255F34%255F4%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_34_4.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D23%252F23_34_4%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a>

Wow Meesh I just lurve that pink diamond ring, its on my wishlist and it looks lovely on you so glad it was your blingy bits on show lol xx

I really was so sad cos I rang in to buy the pink diamond ring and i rang right at the start of the auction, pressed button 3 etc, but cos my little boy was being a bit loud i only heard bits of the message, so when i went to my pc later i checked my basket and was rather dismayed to find i had purchased the previous item which i didnt want at all. so, i must have rung too early, but my lad doesnt like mummy on the phone and will whine so i lost out...
boo hoo.
