Who works ot these gem weights?

how can 6 x 1.9mm diamonds be 1 carat i make it about 0.50ct
alot of these ruby and sapphire 18ct white gold pieces have wrong carat weights i find this so misleading!

Sorry yes i meant 9, 9 x 1.9mm would work out at 0.50cts

OMG you're right! That should be approximately 0.33ct for the 9 stones! The maximum is 0.48ct as you've said.

I've given up getting ratty about the dodgy weights given , Gem Cherub.... happens with all the channels from time to time...I suppose they are just typos rather than any attempt to deceive, but it is very irritating..... I am always waiting for the producer to notice and s tell the presenter so they can point out there is an error in the details.... but I suspect that for the most part, there is seldom anyone there in the studio who knows enough to realise there is a problem at all!

You know what I think has happened? Somebody has calculated it twice. That would perhaps make sense. No excuse though.

buy it and then demand it under trade description, that be a good deal.

this one i saw on air and it was tiny around 0.33ct, i was in shock the presenter kept saying "its over 3.5cts!
