Didn't our lad do well? I couldn't watch the whole of his session (10.00 - 2.00am on a Sunday must be a trial shift - lol). He seemed very comfortable in his surroundings and was completely professional, but jolly. I'd be very surprised if anyone who didn't know could have guessed that was his first night.

I think that's Derek to a tee Argey, professional, yet relaxed and friendly. He was a natural on Gems and should do well on TJC. All the best Derky.

Derek was fabulous last night,well wouldn't have expected anything less tbh.

I watched him in the wee small hours and for the graveyard shift on a sunday I think quite a few items sold so well done to him.

He is so easy to listen to and watch,an absolute delight.He did make a small faux pas though......mentioned t'other place instead of TJC !!:grin:

Consummate professional that he is though,managed to laugh it off saying it was bound to happen.

I am sure that the TJC viewers who are new to him will soon have him as one of their favourite presenters.:)

There's goona be a huuuuge queue Argey!!!;)
 
:clapping: Well done Derek on your TJC debut, you where great! As I knew you would be. However, much as I love watching you Derky, I could not stay up until 2am :sleepy:, so I have recorded all four hours!

First time I've seen Derek in action, I never saw him on Gems. I can see why everybody was so pleased to see him back - well done Derek a great first night, look forward to seeing you again :clapping:

you are lovely, and you lot were like a big cuddle on night one for me. thank you if you messaged or text, and I'm so sorry if I didn't get to read all of them.

4 HOURS seemed like 10 minutes - went so quickly I barely remember any of it, and only one major slip-up (but that was bound to happen - good job it wasn't the "buy one, get one free" that it could've been ha ha)

went really well last night, but the hairy fingers have got to be dealt with definately - it was like spiders on the screen and I didn't like it.

I'm back later in August - and it'll be earlier in the day too.
