Sales phone call from Ideal World

I received a phone call the other day from someone purporting to be from IW. He thanked me for my recent order - ? - what was he on about! Haven't ordered from them in absolute ages!

Anyway, he goes on to say that he's phoning to help me save money, particularly on my shopping. Well, that was the end of the phone call for me. I told him that I didn't take kindly to people phoning up trying to flog things. He then had the audacity to ask whether I'd like something for free - for free:angry: - who is he trying to kid!!!

I told him not to phone me ever again and promptly hung up. What the heck is going on? I don't want people phoning with some phony reason like saving money - yes, I am saving money - by not talking to people trying to sell me something!:smirk:

Has anyone else had these calls lately?

I wonder if its that discount card they were wanting someone else to trial?

Hello, I had a phone call from IW asking me if I wanted to buy a cleaning product at a lower price. I said they should know how much I purchase (1 years supply!) and I don't need any right now.
What about other products that they have on special offer. I said no.
Then I was asked if I was interested in other specials. I said no again.

Times must be hard at IW.
