Questions for Tony Diniz

I have taken the decision this afternoon to email Tony Diniz direct, the questions being asked at the moment on the forum concern me and I am sure you as customers deserve some honest answers.

I have asked:

Do you sit in your hotel room and buy back items that are for auction on Rocks and Co?

When you appear on screen you appear to the viewer to be a guest of Rocks and Co and just supply them with items, you are in fact a director of the company, what is your actual position in the company?

Is Don Kogan in anyway involved in Rocks and Co as anything other than a Expert Guest.

Finally, Why? When the ShoppingTelly.com form is read daily by senior staff at Rocks and Co are customers questions now ignored?

I have not asked questions about Gemstones as my knowledge is not strong enough to be able to ask specific questions.

Before someone asks why are you asking this of Rocks and Co. and not other shopping channels, I will answer. I certainlly would ask the same questions of another company if they needed to be answered. Also Rocks and Co senior staff joined this forum asking for customers questions and then went silent whilst still reading the forum.

I hope that Tony will answer so that we can all move forward.

I would be very interested to hear how those questions are answered.

Individually, they don't seem to be of gargantuan proportion ... but when all summarised like that it really makes you think what sort of outfit are they?

In the interests of fairness, I just thought I'd add that a few years ago when there were some fairly serious issues with TJC, Graham was active behind the scenes and on the forum actively seeking answers .......... unfortunately those posts were lost when the forum crashed.

ohh i remember that Meeshoo Graham was very pro-active in trying to get answers for us

Please somebody correct me if I'm wrong ............ and apologies if this comes over as being a tad abrasive ............

I'm pretty sure that on several occasions I've heard Tony Diniz say that "he's contracted to sell gemstones to Rocks and Co" and then makes noises that if he didn't have to, he could sell elsewhere for millions of pounds/dollars/schekels (insert your own coinage).

Now, I may be totally stupid but as he's a DIRECTOR of Rocks and Co., wouldn't it be in his interest to sell gemstones under the Rocks and Co banner? Surely, as a DIRECTOR, he will be making money from each/every gemstone sold? As a DIRECTOR and presumably businessman, wouldn't he have a say in selling gemstones to the highest bidder?

Just to add to that, why on earth would a DIRECTOR buy back his own gemstones? The only reason is to make it look like the jewellery is selling when it's not.

Given that initially he went to great pains to say that he was unconnected to Rocks and Co doesn't this smack of ............ dare I say it ........... a huge whopper of a lie?

And this Company wonders why they get bad press?????

All very fishy if you ask me, i am not a buyer or watcher of this channel so i rarely comment but i did watch when they first arrived as a fixed price channel and i'm sure i read that maybe it was Dons new venture (i could be wrong) and i have watched a few minutes here and there and nearly every time i flick on Tony is on air so i assumed he was the founder/director which is why i thought the buying back his gems in another thread was total rubbish!
This channel seems all so hush hush about behind the scenes i don't understand it, when Steve Bennett was founder/director on gems he would come on air and tell us so and was proud! i just don't get it why don't they want us to know who is who? all very strange!

IF Mr Diniz responds to Graham's email, I'll be very interested in the "hotel room" reply for several reasons:-

1. If it's true then will he admit it?
2. Can there be any acceptable, ethical reason for him doing this?
3. If he denies it then who do we believe? Stacey said it on live TV and when I commented on here about it she was quick off the mark to email Graham to state quite categorically that she was not a liar!

Any reply will be very interesting reading!

It's going to be incredibly hard for him to admit as I'm pretty sure it breaks one too many Laws and I wonder what the ASA would think!!! Not to mention Trading Standards!
