Blimey Derek, haven't even had a chance to put ours up yet

Too soon, too soon!

Christmas trees should go up on Christmas Eve and come down on Twelfth Night...

We put ours up last night (when you have kids you get pressured into it!) but we always take ours down on 6th January.

OMG! Mine is a two day job....so I'm half way there, tree is up with lights but decs go on tomorrow! You have to get these things right you know if your to live with it for weeks! LOL

I always get confused which night is the 12th night, is it 12 nights from Christmas eve or Christmas day? what day should the tree be taken down?

That confuses me, too, but I'm pretty sure it's 5th January...

Eeeek, I've been doing it all wrong!

But then again, maybe not ........

Confused? Yes.

Take your pick - 5th January or 6th January but no later! If you start at 11.55pm on the 5th January and complete taking them down into the 6th you should have covered all bases :)

I have an angelic (NOT!!) Bichon Frise who can take them down quicker than you can put them up!

Now does anyone know where I can buy a Christmas Tree that hangs from the ceiling?

B&Q have black ones, pink ones etc!

Have you tried the pet spray that stops cats and dogs going near the tree? Apparently it smells of citrus. I have no idea if it works but there was a programme on the radio the other day and lots were recommending it.

I don't bother with a tree ... but I decorate everything else. Usually do it on/around 30 November/1 December! Yes really ... and no children in sight to blame it on! Been a bit late this year and only just did it all today.

Ooh ... Klos ... one of my friends has just got a Bichon Frise puppy called Marley - quite the cutest bundle of fluff ever! Looks like a ball of cotton wool.
