Of course I ask the same of all channels, I am concered by "the Sarah Bennett collection" as by name would incur was designed by Sarah Bennett i believe customers should be told WHAT is desinged by Ms Bennett?

.......................or guided and motivated by the head of design who pulls the collection together - come on Graham be impartial.

I will go in search of your other challenging and probing questions then - on other channel threads - if this channel is anything to go by they will be many, varied, balanced and throughly worthwhile reading

Just believe that customers should be informed, please feel free to quote my other posts.

I'm not bothered who designs the stuff only if I like it. As I understand it Design Heads don't design everything but do some, set the style and approve in house and bought in designs. Nothing sinister or misleading I would have thought just standard practice.

I think what bothers some people is Rocks often state they design all the jewellery yet they have also in the past admitted that they do buy in some items so kinda mixed messages.

My take on it is that if I buy, for example, a Stephen Webster piece, I expect it to be a Stephen Webster piece and not available anywhere else. A "designer" name implies exclusivity.

When RocksTV started, a number of "Sarah Bennett" designs were found elsewhere. RocksTV explanation (if I remember correctly) was that they had found certain items and were guaranteed the lion's share of the pieces made. So whilst the same pieces may be found elsewhere, the majority would be sold on RocksTV.

To brand these as Sarah Bennett designs are/was misleading. As a consumer, I'd be pretty peeved if I bought something believing it to be exclusive, only to find it elsewhere (albeit with slight differences).

If jewellery is marketed as a "designer" brand, you also expect the designs to be by that designer/design house - not bought in from a third party.

There are quote a number of detailed jewellery design drawings on the walls at Ivy House (Coloured Rocks HQ), which many of us will have seen at the Open Days. I understand that these are Sarah's.

With due respect to Sarah, most of her stuff sells about £30 - £60 so hardly "designer" in the commonly recognised description of exclusivity. Can't see a cat fight at the Oscars if two ladies find they are wearing an identical Rocks.TV design piece.

I'd be more surprised if any of the Sarah Bennett collection was seen at the Oscars!

I understand your point but there was quite a big hoo haa on RocksTV when people found "Sarah Bennett" designs elsewhere.

The point is that it's deceitful.

Great point, Mr Jones!

Arguing about designer jewels and shopping channels...ROFL.

I'm not arguing about anything. Personally I don't give a monkey's uncle but people bought those items believing them to be exclusive to RocksTV. They're not.

Oh, no. I am not referring to your point Meeshoo. Overall, I find the association between designer jewellery and shopping channels quite funny.

i think you will find that people buy these items because they are good quality and a good pricei have now bought several pieces and a couple are Sarah s who cares i bought them because i liked them (no offence Sarah )but if you said you had an exclusive necklace by sarah bennett most people would say who@s she.And as for Graham wanting to see her drawings has he written to tiffany to look at theirs or george jenson i am sure they will agree to prove that their designs are theirs :mysmilie_454:

Oh here we go again, please peeps, cant we just get back to enjoying the bling buying and drooling over other peoples purchases, life is way too short. <a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxpt484YYGB%2526i%253D23%252F23%255F31%255F4%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_31_4.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D23%252F23_31_4%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a>
