I have a very nice Skagen watch, bought at a bargain price from a US ebayer, (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/TIMEZONE123-WHOLESALE-WATCHES?_rdc=1) but it's hard to find a jeweller prepared to exchange the battery. Apparently the back is very hard to get off and replace properly without damaging the case.

My jewelllers is very happy to change the battery but I tend to have a look on ebay before buying as the "pricepoint" can be more positive.

With the Skagen I own many jewellers would not touch it. Seems loads of jewellers will only change batteries on brands they sell. The stands in the shopping centres could not get the back off, did not have correct tool. So I found a shop called the Watch Shop sells designer watch of all brands and will and can do battery changes on any watch no problem for £5. They do tell me that if they open the back the watch will no longer be waterproof.:yawn:
