I may have missed her on screen, but haven't seen Liv since the change of management, nor the delightful James. Have they gone? Glad to see Drew back - very easy to listen to.
 
This is what James Russell said on his facebook;

'Wahoooooooo. Last day at gems TV...I have fought the burning desire to throw a sicky and am about to head off. It's gonna be my last stint infront of camera for a while and definatly my last stint at flogging crap on shopping channels. Good night, god bless... Much love !'

Thank goodness for that. I can't tell you how pleased I am to see the back of the sleazy James "fill yer boots" Russell.

I too have seen Liv, but it's holiday time now so I think we should expect some temporary disappearances for a wee while now. xxxxx

Says it all really - true colours, and an attempt to sabotage the new beginnning. news for you, no-one knew who you were before Gems TV, and they've taken no time at all to forget you either.

Liv's on this morning, wearing a pretty dress, and looking lovely. I do like her style of presenting, she really makes me laugh. Thank goodness 'Shouty Man' has gone!!!!

Should have waited till this morning and I wouldn't have needed to wonder where Liv was!! That quote Ben posted was typical of that particular charming presenter -glad he's gone! Vicki Carr is on Rocks today and Rae was on gems earlier -thought they weren't shifting them around? ( a query, not a complaint!) HHowever it does make me double-check which channel number I pressed!

i really don't mean this in a dis-respectful way to you Ben but surely someone on TV should be more careful who they be-friend online?! perhaps only people they actually know in real life might be a good start...

Quite right.....I am friends on facebook with alot of presenters, but no other presenters I know do this who Im friends with on there!

I replied to what he said, and he wrote back further........he told me not to write it here, so Ill ask Admin to maybe write it! :D

Thanks for your email Ben I am more than happy to publish Mr Russell's message to you, IMO if TV presenters (I use the term losely with Mr Russell) email the public them I am afraid they can not complain when they end up in the public domain.

'That's not the point Ben. My posts on here are only visable to my friends of which I thought you were one.I find it pretty deplorable that you would take a post to my friends and display it to people who will draw offense from it.
I too am a shopping telly customer and most of my friends on facebook are people who work in that industry it wasnt going to be long b4 someone told me what you had done. Me calling the products 'crap' is nothing more than a flipent gag to my friends.but by taking it out of the context of facebook and putting on a shopping telly site you have made it into something quite ugly and sinister.
I know how much of a fan you are of shopping TV and I think it's wonderful how dedicated you are. But my posts to my friends are private Ben, please let's keep them that way '

I think he should change his name to something more in line with his persona. Richard Head comes to mind with the shortened version of Richard of course!
 
I have just gone and done, probably what the rest of the forum readers will do, and had a look at his facebook - and i wish i hadnt!

I was never much "into" him as a presenter, always thought him a cheeky cocky barrow boy, but from what i have read on his wall - it is stomach churning - you feel violated that he has actually sat there and tried to sell you jewellery - and he has that awful dark side to him - his comments are all homophobic and he has just not got anything nice to say, his thoughts are plain vile! - i hope future employers have a look at his facebook wall - then they will probably think twice about hiring this moron!

I opened a facebook account, much against my wishes - and my friends know my own personal views about facebook - i think it is a dangerous thing, in the wrong hands - but you know, the wise and the senisble, opt for tight security on their facebook accounts, and make sure that its "friends" only who can view. I cant believe he is so stupid to make these comments, and know that the world can read them! He is more of a moron than I gave him credit for.
