nice to see ruth on gems again, she must have left TJC

i must admit, Ruth back on gems is indeed a good thing in my eyes

either on Gems or R&C is a thumbs up for me, i didn't think she was in her element on TJC.


Welcome back Ruth!

I am pleased that she is back at GemsTV as she totally ruined my viewing on The Jewellery Channel, she is such a false presenter, GemsTV, Rocks and Co, TJC and now back to Gems, don\'t think I will ever believe a word she says.

Yeah, I cannot figure out lanky Ruth L either. :headbang: She started off in the midlands (Gems TV), moved to London (rocks and co), and then when rocks and co decided to move north to the midlands (where she had just come from) she didn't want to go, so she then moved to TJC (London). When she finally realized that TJC wasn't for her, she then finally decides to move back up north to the midlands and back to gems TV - one confused lady for sure!

Ruth is a very lovely lady. Having had the pleasure of meeting her I can tell you she's really really sweet. I don't care where she presents, she doesn't shout and presents with authority.

I did hear the other night, late on, when Ruth was finishing her shift, that she had a nearly three hour drive.........
back down the M40!

These ladies sure do show dedication to their jobs as Vicki C drives down from the North East to work. I have to
admit this long commute does slightly worry me when they are working till midnight or 2am!

Sarah C drives from London, BarryK from Bristol and Rae from Wales, so quite a number do a lot of travelling.

For me there are, unfortunately, plenty of presenters on Gems/Rocks who I can't watch at the moment (it's all too screechy and desparate), but Ruth certainly isn't one of them. She is calm, has a pleasant voice to listen to (something in the ladies that often seems to be overlooked, obviously a pretty face is enough!) and comes across to me as a lovely person. We're all different ofcourse, but I'm not at all surprised to hear from Meesh that she's like that in real life.
I am, though, always slightly bemused that they don't give her the bigger ring sizes (9 when available) to show as they'd then fit her. Saw her on the other day when Steve came in - she towers over him!

If all these gems presenters are commuting to the midlands, then why don't some of them do the same and commute to rocks and co which is also in the midlands area?

And on the same theme, why doesn't Stacey Ellis dump TJC and commute to the midlands for either Steve Bennett et al (gemsTV) or Tony Diniz et al (Rocks and co) ?

Oh yes, and why doesn't John Scott join the merry band of commuters from London to the midlands?
