....I thought it was interesting, if ovepriced, but after a while I found mysef gagging for some real bling y'know? I guess I just love sparklers after all....

I saw one or two that were half decent from the Celtic and Celebrity ranges, but they just weren't chunky enough for me - I don't do twee in anything. I did however like the few beads they had and have succumbed to one string. A 50 incher with really nice quality beads, decently designed, as opposed to some of the horrors we've been subjected to of late. I'd like to see more beads of quality and actually designed, rather than just haphazardly thrown together as so many are now. PLEASE no more chippings - with apologies for the slight drift away from subject. xxxxxxxx

PS - I suspect we might have got more out of these pieces if there hadn't been so many just crammed together and overplayed. These specialised days are a real bore, and I would far rather see mixed days with specialised hours (maybe two hours for the larger ranges) and a schedule that is kept to as much as possible. This way we could plan our days and viewing times.

Quite like it (the J Francis I mean)... nothing screamed 'buy me', but there was a nice little mystic topaz ring with Russian Diopside (I think) and I liked the peridot crabs and the emerald lizard. Funny, I don't really 'do' green gems so I don't know why I was attracted to all the greens. H'm... pretty but unmemorable, that was how it struck me.

One thing I will not be investing in is a London Blue topaz house brick! Don't think I'd be able to lift my head up with one of those round my neckline!

AAARGH! Talking of chippings - I saw advertised a necklace made of shell pieces along the lines of 'Over 100 carats of shell.' 100 carats of SHELL pieces! Come ON!

What next, gravel by the carat?
