Say what you like about QVC, but its a phenomenal business model that has worked well across the world. You've got the others but the benchmark is QVC by which they are judged by and that includes the HSN it copied from!
 
The number of items sold is staggering, so the profits must be absolutely mind boggling. Add on top the charge of postage and packaging....... whew !
 
interesting article, thanks for posting. i do get the impression that there's less stigma attached to QVC or tv shopping generally in the U.S than there is here.

most people laugh when you mention QVC, but i do believe that the company perpetuate that by some of the tat they peddle.

(peddle and tat - words i would only ever use in relation to shopping telly - fab)
