Any tips for creating popcorn in a halogen oven? All my attempts have ended up as a nasty burnt mess.

Are you taking it out of the bag :mysmilie_506:

Turn the temp down and use the steamer tray so the hot air can circulate round your kernels, ooo err!:giggle:

Sorted, after a bit of trial and error.

I was initially using the non-stick metal tin that came with the halogen oven. I think that was my mistake.

Anyway, here's my solution: pre-head halogen oven to 220c. Place some popping corn in a small non-stick baking tin, and blast it for 6 minutes at 220c. Perfect popcorn. :clapping:

Thank you Martin,

Although I haven't got the IW branded HO I'm going to give it a try.

I like the look of that toffee sauce thingy Paul makes to pour over it......I do enjoy a bit of Butterkissed :mysmilie_59:

Little question Martin, do I need to add anything other than the popping corn. please?

I remember years ago making it in a large saucepan, I'm sure I had to add a small knob of butter in those days.

Thank You.
