Anyone missing a coconut mushroom?

cos i have found it if you have. in the bottom of my new Tig bag lol

i ordered a tig off the clearance and past experience has taught me to check them out very carefully. when it arrived i thought 'ooh! plastic still on the handle, i do believe we have a brand new one! score!' until i opened up the centre compartment and my fingers came out holding on to a rather squished sweetie. the bag is fine, the lining isnt even stained so i am keeping it but it really does annoy me that they dont even give much of a check at the stock department

Oh my life - I shouldn't laugh, but the thread title just nearly gave me pant wettage. But, seriously, that is BAD. I mean, how HARD is it for them to look through a bag and spot that there is a cocount based comestible attached to the lining?? They'd smell it, surely? It's not like coconut hasn't got a perfume...
 
maybe it was deliberately planted there (just like that tea bag...remember that anyone??)

I just read your post in haste and thought you'd received a bag containing a concrete mushroom :giggle:. Mind you with QVC anything's possible..the latest retro home ornamentation from Ms Hoppen perchance? It comes in three colours: beige, taupe and erm...mushroom :wink:. I can just imagine the courier lugging that up your drive...

Seriously I hope you get a full apology and reparations to boot. Perhaps send it back with a tag tied to its stalk marked 'exhibit A'?
 
Oh, I have laughed and laughed and laughed. Sorry! Were you disappointed it wasn't a cheque book (remember that one?) Coconut mushrooms were my mums favourite sweet until she developed diabetes, so have fond memories of her enjoying a bag (and me helping her). Thank you for the biggest laugh of the day. xx
 
Ummm I mislaid one of those sweetie shrimps the other day. Coincidentally it was the very same day I returned a parcel to qvc - if anyone finds it in their delivery could I have it back :tongue:
 
considering i am on a diet week, and as we all know when you are not allowed something then even a small sweet of questionable origin is a temptation, i was momentarily tempted to have a sly suck on the furry fungus. luckily i had just had a gob full of vitamin blaagh so there was nothing going in my stomach for another 20 minutes lol
i will take some evidence photos and then post it back off to you yaz lol

PS this thread reminds me of my former manager (mutual dislike:headbang:) who never understood what I did in my job. He always accused me of treating him like a mushroom - keeping him in the dark and feeding him sh*t.

Made me think of my 'lovely' boss! Work my ass off earning him wads of money and the miserable sod moans when he pays me a tiny bonus (which he agreed on ages ago and which he is scrapping cos he doesn't like to pay me it) miserable *******! And then he wonders why I hate my work!

Reminds me of a t-shirt my brother had when i was a kid, "i am a mushroom, keep me in the dark and feed me bullsh*t" lol
 
well i wrote a review of the bag and mentioned the furry fungus. for some reason it hasnt appeared online. i have written negative reviews before and they were always published. this time i popped at QVC for 2 things, the mushroom and how crap the site is compared to QVCUS (it annoyed me that they only put in the picture of the back of the handbag when the front is so pretty. no wonder they have so many of them left for last clicks). i wonder which one was the problem? lol
