Is it just me or is anyone else having problems purchasing on line.

Sometimes I can add things to the basket but more often than not it says sorry we cannot process your order please ring.

This is most annoying when I am trying to sneakily purchase whilst I am browsing on the laptop without the other half knowing. By the time he is out it will probably have sold out.:(

I had the same problem with one of the clearance beauty products today, i ended up ringing. I am sure that someone else managed to do it on Q-Mobile if you have that.

Are you using Internet Explorer?

I have had the same problems so installed Mozilla as an alternative browser. When Internet Explorer fails, Mozilla always seems to work.

Might be worth a try:)

When I was with my previous husband I used to sneak off to the loo with my mobile to order then have it delivered to work so he didnt know:D:D

This one is not so bad he just says 'its your money' but you still have to be a little careful and not go too over the top - I might end up on Rikki Lake!!!!!!:)

I think we might be married to the same man:eek:

I am so useless on the technical computer things so no idea what you mean. Need to get hubby to do these things - will suggest this to him when I am trying to buy something for him (which I do occassionally). Good idea eh?

If I suddenly ask him now he will suspect. Will let you know how I get on.

"Its early Christmas shopping! God, stop having a go!!"

see... all worked out!

Maybe I should start a thread how to buy things without the other half knowing - I think you could all share a few tips here......:)

I bet none of you ever hide things then when they ask 'is that new' say no I have had it for ages!

The good thing is my postie delivers after the hubby has gone to work.

Lol Rosey I went to Dorothy Perkins today and spent a tidy sum, it's staying in the boot until my OH goes to work on Monday <a href="http://www.sweetim.com/s.asp?im=gen&ref=11" target="_blank"><img src="http://content.sweetim.com/sim/cpie/emoticons/0002006E.gif" border=0 ></a>

That is soooo bad - I would never do anything like this LOL.

On a similar vein - when I was having my affair with my new hubby, I bought all my christmas shopping on a saturday - hid it at my friends house then pretended to go xmas shopping in the middle of the week - spent day with lover, then collected all the shopping and pretended I had had a very busy shopping day and was exhausted!!!!!

I've had the same problem, if you restart your computer it seems to rectify itself

Hope this helps!!!!

I do the same. I have a feeling it happens when you leave something in the shopping cart for 30min without going to check-out.

Hi rosey well it tends to happen alot with me too, and also at a customer event the same thing happened on their pc. What you need top do is just click the x to close the site down and then open up the QVC page again type in the item number and it WILL add to the page, works everytime. xxx

QVC has a timeout session set when you start ordering. If you don't do anything in 30 mins it will produce the error you are seeing. The failsafe is to restart the computer, the other slightly quicker solution is to restart the browser and clear out your cache.

I always order online and have never had any problems. :)

I still can't get over how many of you lot 'hide' your purchases your OH! I remember my gran doing that when she was well into her 70s (not that grandad ever complained). Surely things have changed by now!!! And if not, why not??

Thanks all for this - I think this is the problem as I am always adding things to the basket when they come on tv, then having a think do I really need this. When I go back later I can do nothing. Will try the solutions later.

I am sure things have changed - as I said my new hubby wouldn't mind a bit but I personally feel guilty as we gernerally spend more than men on clothes shoes bags make-up etc.

No need to feel guilty! If you earn your own money, then you can spend it any way you want. ('Kept' women are another matter. That's the price they pay for their handouts!! And I'm not talking about stay at home mums with pre-school kids, because they work SO SO hard.) And if women spend more on clothes, etc, think of the things men generally spend more on - fags, drink, tools, sport, hobbies, cars, etc etc. Do they feel guilty? Do they 'hide' their spending? I'm not a rabid feminist, but I don't do the guilt!!
