People sent TSVs to test

Watching the early repeat of the Tua Trend, two woman were on the phone who'd both been sent them to try out.
Not the first time this has happened, as I've seen occasionally, how do they pick these people to get things to try free?

I know someone who did it for a techy item, I'm not sure how he was picked. I imagine you need to buy a resonable amount of items of the relevant type and be able to express yourself quite well. I cannot imagine they would dare use staff as they could be in big trouble for that.

I've heard mention on several occasions of a "customer panel" but have no idea how one would get on to said panel!!

Someone on here long ago said they knew someone who was picked. They actually got picked by doing a survey after being stopped in the street somewhere in London.

Perhaps like the customer reviews its an outside company that organise it all?
