Hmm. I see that while the boss is away the boobs are out to play. Ali is an attractive young woman with a figure many (including myself) must envy. However, I've no interest in watching it battling to stay within the confines of a very low cut, strapless dress/top. Might I suggest that this is entirely inappropriate for a Sunday afternoon on a shopping channel. If she's auditioning as a glamour model, I'm sure there's a more appropriate place. It wouldn't be so bad if she could manage to keep herself upright, but it looks like she's struggling to keep them off the desk. May I suggest a better bra might help support rather than the desk. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Argeybargey, I couldn't agree more. I have also commented on this on Steve's 'Update on Comments' thread.

Yes, I agree, too. How about a 'no visible cleavage' rule - then there would be no doubt as to what was appropriate and what wasn't?

Of course models have to have an exposed decolletage to show off pendants and necklaces, but that doesn't need to be incompatible with modesty and elegance!

I feel let down as well having, only just a couple of days ago, remarked that Ali had seemed to take it all on board. Ah well. Perhaps anyone who comes in dressed like this should be made to wear their mike attached to a nostril, thus alleviating the additional draw of the eyes to the chesticle area. :mysmilie_520: xxxxxxxxxxxx

Sadly I don't find Ali in the least bit entertaining and very annoying.

Either shows what little respect Gems staff have for Steve or little Steve has for Shopping Telly :(

I totally agree, and I'm in complete accord with Graham in that I find her irritating and unwatchable, too. She has that peculiar child-woman vibe that so many of us loathe in Clare Sutton on QVC, which makes it all the more peculiar that she dresses the way she does. Everything from her voice to her mannerisms and her stock phrases, along with her: "Do you like this? So do I. aha, aha, I do, oh yes, I do. Lots of lovely treats for us, oh yes, aha, aha." And then her feigned astonishment at the price of the piece shows that she's either a very poor actress or suffering from short term memory loss, since the chances are that the price of the piece is exactly the ****** same as always.
I'm a gal with a good figure, but I don't dress inappropriately and dish out me dollops at every opportunity. I meantersay, have a bit of clarse, lovey.

Oh how frightfully course! You wouldn't catch me talking about someone's funbags/norks using such uncouth terminology. xxxxxxxxxxxx

That reminds me of a story I heard years ago from someone who was working as a care assistant for elderly people, some of whom had a degree of dementia.

She was giving one old gentleman a bed-bath, and assured him that she would be careful of his "dangly bits". "How dare you speak to me like that?" replied the man, indignantly. "Those aren't my dangly bits - they're my goolies!"

Graham's photo above is really quite kind in terms of what is on show in reality. Seriously, this is unacceptable.

Not really the best way to represent a business which prides itself on being family run...

I feel the same way about the porno nails sported by so many of them, though in fairness to her, Ali D's nails are fine.

Now, I'm not one to gossip as you know, but I don't think she's wearing a vest...Think I'll send her the new Damart catalogue, she might find a string one which lets the nips out to suit her usual style...

OK, that top looks like a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen. I thought they were supposed to be making improvements too.

She's always given me the impression of 'I've paid for 'em, so I'll flaunt 'em', even years ago when she was on old Gems. I suppose she thinks she looks glamourous, but to me she really looks as though she belongs on an adult channel, so what is she seeing/thinking? Anyway, I agree with the other comments about her above and as her voice is so awful, I always mute her and have recently just not bothered to watch at all when she is on.
It really makes a mockery of Steve's replies on here and I'm going to have to rescind my comments on the other thread about how the ladies have complied with the new dress code.

Ne'mind, we'll get a break next week while she's off with a naty chest cold. <a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxpt484YYGB%2526i%253D15%252F15%255F6%255F26%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_6_26.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D15%252F15_6_26%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a> xxxxxxxxxx

I would with pleasure Yaz, but I don't have a long range camera, though I suppose I could use a pair of waterproof socks as moulds. :cheeky: xxxxxxxxxxxxx

The images that has put into my head are reminiscent of a painting by Hieronymous Bosch...

I don't wish to sound unkind or shallow, and if she had them hidden I wouldn't be saying this, but as a red blooded man who, on a daily basis thanks God for chest potatoes, I have to say I would prefer them ones hidden, even on a 900 channel!

this has so long been a real bug bear of mine - totally unacceptable. Decolletage is adamantly not the same as lowcut, cheap, flaunting of boobs. I can wear a necklace and everyone can admire the goods I am wearing not the goods I am hiding. If we wanted to see boobs we'd buy certain newspapers, top shelf mags or just tune into specialist channels - Grow up presenters and act with some decorum for goodness sake
