Reserved by someone else???

I'm trying to but a few items - had a gold chain which I sold so thought I'd buy few things. BUt every time I click on something it says reserved by someone else - some back another time - what does that mean? How long is it reserved or do they put another on line??
Bit confused - seems daft that I want to buy but can't!!!

I think - that when an item is scheduled to be auctioned Gems "reserve the item" meaning that it can't be sold online. It is infuriating, I remember being told by one of their managers (when I visited Gems) that they hope at some point to be able to tell people when they're looking at an item online when it is due to be sold by date and hour of auction.

You could always try doing what I have done on a couple of occasions, email or telephone customer services, explain your frustration, and ask if they will put the item in your basket at a favoured price.......... it works sometimes. At the very least they should be able to tell you when the item is due to be auctioned as they usually hold the schedules. Good luck :wave:
