Gems TV DOG (Digital On screen Graphic)

Hi Barry,

I know I am a techno geek and need to get out more but why are you using the DOG from the now defunct Gems TV 2?

100% not a criticism, I am just curious

Sorry for the late response.

The DOG or bug problem happened when the kit restarted after the recent power problems.

As you can imagine there was a lot of activity in the building when the power was restored. When the bug generator powered up, it reverted back to an old bug (no idea why!). This was not deemed as a critical problem straight away - and so was left until a time when an engineer could fix.

I wouldn't even like to count the items of broadcast kit that needed to be tested after the failure!
