Something I believe we've asked ourselves previously. Yesterday, whilst presenting an hour of the "Naturally Yours" range, Steve explained to us that the reason this range hasn't sold well is that the presenters won't present it, as it costs too much to make and there is too small a profit margin. Que? Who's running the show then? One would assume from this that the presenters are on a commission then, but, please someone correct me if I'm wrong, hasn't this been denied? If they are on a commission or some sort of profit share/reward scheme I have no problem at all with that. However, if they are then it shouldn't be denied. Naturally, I wouldn't expect details but surely we are entitled to know that presenters have an interest? This would explain (but not excuse) some of the behaviour.

By the way, I can't speak for all the items, but I'm sure none of you will be surprised to learn that for at least two items (which I can be certain of as I bought them myself in late January) went for the same price as previously. I love them both which are much admired (I now have a couple more in my basket), but once again this brings serious doubt about the authenticity of "clearance" which Steve persists in referring to as "sales". <a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxpt484YYGB%2526i%253D7%252F7%255F18%255F4%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_18_4.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D7%252F7_18_4%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a> xxxxxxxxx

I am sure this is more of what I am sure Steve would call showmanship (we call it blagging and lies in some cases). Like when he tells off the producer for taking it too low or when he has to go to a break so he can get his calculator out to see if he can shave some money off the price or when Glenn made out he thought the prices were too low. All sounds like BS to me. Maybe some of it is true but when someone uses these methods once, it is hard to believe they don't more often.

Hiya poppet....

Hi Argey, how are you :flower:? I thought I heard that the presenters were on a salary rather than commission, though each does seem to have a 'sales figures sheet' against their name. Steve did refer to this yesterday "to put some sales against his name"....cos being the 'boss' it didn't matter! Also I thought I'd heard that the presenter and producer for each show choose their own selection of items.......am sure Matt was referring to this other day.

But....what's the Naturally Yours range....something I haven't heard of........

Hiya Sacha and everyone. As you can see in part from Sapphireblue's post, "Naturally Yours" seems to come in three general styles - the natural drusy; large highly polished agate pieces; and the very oddly styled natural minerals with a polished cabachon (generally). It's a shame about the unpolished minerals as they are smashing, but the designs (in my 'umble) are 'orrible and broken looking which is why, I suspect, they didn't sell well. Personally I like most of the drusy designs but some of the drusy material has been lacking in quality, I had to return both pendants I ordered as the back was so rough it would ruin clothes. These are the three pieces and one agate in my possession at the moment. xxxxxxxxxxx
