I am confused here they are selling official Homedics products but saying how much cheaper they are than Homedics website.

So if you were Homedics would you be a little cheesed off to see your own site getting slated by another company.

Technically if everyone bought all their Homedics products from Bid, speed or Price then Homedics would go bust so if you were Homedics would you put up with it for the free publicity or get annoyed about the slating of the higher prices or stop bid shopping from selling your products?

Well, to be honest, it is just another 'web check' which they do. More often than not, the company who make the items, sell them on their website for the RRP price.

What bid/PD/SA do with web checks, is they find the highest price on the web, but from a company which everybody will know about.

It isn't just Homedics, they do it with Russell Hobbs kitchenware, and say that they are doing it cheaper than Russell Hobbs own site.

You say ''Technically if everyone bought all their Homedics products from Bid, speed or Price then Homedics '' But, no they wouldn't, because Bid would have paid Homedics money for their items, so it doesn't really matter. - Homedics are probably happy that bid tv are selling them, as that means they may go back to them to get some more sets. -Just remember, whoever sells Homedics items, Homedics are getting money from it.

Yes but Bid haven't paid Homedics as much for them as you would if you bought them from the Homedics website or Bid would go bust Homedics make money from inflating the price high.

But it would work out better for them when bid sell 100/200 at a time that Homedics selling 5 during the day. :)

Well... no... this is how business works. The suppliers set an 'RRP', and usually sell items at that RRP from their own stores, or websites. This enables mass retailers to offer the product for less, and claim it's a bargain - which increases sales for the supplier in question.

It's clever marketing.

Just about every major brand does this. Buy from a brands offcial website - pay full RRP - buy from a national retailer, get it 20-30% cheaper (thank-you buying power)

Edit: Just noticed Bennyxp already said this, sorry!

Peter Simon is just demonstrating the Homedics seat massager. With all the squirming. he looks as though as if his backside is being molested. :bandit::dull:

I rather think our Peter is probably a bit desperate for some....
