I have only been a QVC shopper for about 2 years but have noticed that several guests sell different brands e.g. The pro steam iron guest who I think is called Beckie I'm sure also sells Oreck vacuums. How does that work? Does she work both companies?

They're mostly failed or wannabee actors, models or presenters hired by QVC to represent a brand or item. Some brands send their own people: the birkenstock woman has worked for them for years but the reps for yankee candle, gayle hayman, kipling etc aren't affiliated to these companies outside the world of QVC.
