Just watching her peddling her skin care. To endorse her products, she has just told us she is a scientist and has a Phd. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought she was a psychologist and not anything to do with dermatology.

I'm sure's she's very sincere with her skincare range and isn't cashing in on the "I'm was a 'slebrity psychologist on ITV" moniker to flog her skincare. :hi:

Call me shallow but I would still love to rub in her lotion on herself any day

I agree though she is a head doc now a skin specialist. That is unless she did do some general medicine we don't know about which is possible.

PJ

pj's so keen he's getting twitchy finger just thinking about it

psychodermatology?? psycobabble more like.

having read that article, i don't see any evidence of scientific training.

She is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist therefore she has a doctorate and so is a Doctor, but not in medicine, also psychology is a science. She wouldn't actually prescribe anti depressants as that is something left to psychiatrists (who are medical doctors who have undertaken further training in psychology). Clinical Psychologist would prescribe, what is termed these days, as talking therapies e.g. CBT and would not psychoanalysis you as that is something a psychoanalyst (who doesn't require a doctorate) would do.

That all said, albeit in a confusing way, I have no respect for her any more with the cobblers she comes out with. I'm so glad that I didn't do my PhD with her, as I would hate to be associated with any of her non-scientific nonsense!

Be fair it's a bugger of a name to spell. Let alone pronounce.

I'll be honest. I'd never heard of her before she came to QVC.

I love the way they refer to her as "Dr Linda" rather than "Dr Linda Papadopoulos". Guess the copy writer struggled with the surname

Wasn't Pap - a -dop- ou - los the character name of Pauline Quirke in Birds of a Feather ? ( I know, I'm a mine of boring information)

Every time I hear it I keep thinking about Arthur Lowe in Coronation Street.

Her PhD is in Psychology from the University of London, but def nothing to do with Chemistry/Botany
really do not quiet get my head around the fact that her psychology background in science ( and I do think its a science ) has anything to do with her ability as a skin care specialist
I hate this " I have a science background so can investigate skin care"
