New Year, new complaint...

I wonder if its anything to do with what someone was saying on here a while back? They kept getting cold calling from situps. Could be a spin off from that? Mind you, I wouldn't put anything past this bunch of spivs. These presenters and assistants must be desperate for work to associate themselves with this outfit, that's all I can say

I wonder what that's about...Anyone knows?

And also, have you noticed how many complains were resolved informally (read: swept under the carpet) last year?

Thanks for posting those, Interesting to read them all, On the whole all it says is "The ad must not be broadcast again in its current form", not much of a deterent they just come up with something similar, It seems sit-up just play dumb with most things, They always have an excuse as to why something has gone wrong on this occassion but I've seen most of those happen many times, The monitoring team must be busy this year or maybe they just arnt doing their job right, We will have to see how many complaints are shown this year

This 1 made me laugh http://www.asa.org.uk/ASA-action/Adjudications/2009/3/Sit_Up-Ltd/TF_ADJ_45889.aspx how they say "it was impossible to forecast accurately how popular those products would be on the day" I'm sure they knew more than 120 people would want a Sony tv for £99 when its been heavily advetrised and sold in 4 seperate time slots

Then theres this 1 http://www.asa.org.uk/ASA-action/Adjudications/2010/10/sit_up-Ltd/TF_ADJ_49224.aspx claiming the price they paid came in as an error at £18.00 instead of the actual price of £7.80, How is that possible to do? If it was £8.80 then maybe someone could have left a 1 in front of it making it £18.80 but £18.00 is nothing like £7.80

It seems to me that they just make an excuse as if these things are 1 off events but we all know these things have happened regularly many many times over the years
