What's the best way to travel to Windsor from Heathrow

DH & I have had some flight time changes on our May Floridian jaunt.
This will result in us arriving to Heathrow @ 1000hrs the day BEFORE we fly to Miami!
I would be keen to spend the Sunday in Windsor,which I love, and I believe it's roughly 12 miles away.
Could any kind FM advise me as to the best way to travel there and back?

Heathrow express to Paddington, Paddington to Slough, change there for the local line to Windsor, or there may be a local bus service from Heathrow to Windsor!

Does the National Express coach go from Windsor to Heathrow? We use it from here in the south west to Heathrow and it is a great service. But maybe someone who lives that way might be able to help better.
