Gem Prices

Just watching the Friday 'Gem Fest' & it is obvious how much prices have gone up in recent years.I have bought a couple of pieces in the past but the price vs quality was much better then.Oh well---- will not be ordering now!

I certainly wouldn't pay the £130 for the silver bracelet with the wishy washiest aquamarines I've ever seen !!!! In the good old 'Bid Up' days I bought the same design bracelet in 9ct gold with diamonds and pale blue topaz for just over £100 !

I dont care how much gold / silver has gone up in price, I think all the jewellery retailers in creation are using that as a lever to hike up the prices and their profits !!!!

I LOVED the rose de france amethyst in rose gold but didn't go for it. I have one similar, but smaller, in silver so will have to make do with that one!
