View Full Version : The "missing stock's back!"

On the free p+p thread as well as my comment which praised this action, I remarked how my cynical side saw this as more of an opportunity to shift certain items. There were quite a few things I would have liked to have bought (despite being skint)if I wasn't going to have to pay P&P on them. Every single item I was interested in and looked up had gone, and whilst browsing the site in general I noticed how every product category was seriously depleted. Today however, EVERYTHING is back to normal. So it seems I was right, this was more of a way to shift carefully selected items of stock, not just a nice present to the viewers to give free p&p across the board. I also noticed that because they'd waived the p&p charges, the prices for the actual items were significantly higher than they would normally sell for eg, a set of four microwave egg boilers would have normally gone for a couple of quid went for 7, so the saving was minimal, someone else noticed that some items ended up dearer than they've been sold in the past with the p&p added.

Question for the powers that be at Bid etc....Why when you have an offer, can't it just be a jolly good deal for the customer, why does something always have to give?

Think there's a new presenter on Bid Plus. Said her name was 'Ayleigh'. Selling fitness equipment with '@JonTrevor'.

They were asking for questions to be tweeted, but you could see by searching for his username above nothing was coming in. Despite this they pretended they had questions from 'Dloris' and 'Scott' including whether the vibra plate was a substitute for the gym

Also noticed earlier questions are from a '@GeorgeGallery1' account; which has a grand total of 4 tweets, all of which are to @JonTrevor funnily enough ;)
