Does anyone know how I can find out the country of manufacture for these goods? Just want to know if it is some eastern sweatshop employing small children

Yes, I'd like to know that too. I only thought of it when I was on the verge of buying a cheap goose down duvet from them, and another poster warned me that the feathers probably wouldn't have been harvested in a very pleasant manner (to say the least), I didn't buy one needless to say. Then like you, I began to wonder about other stuff they do, and somehow, I can't see it's going to be a good result. Don't know how one could find out? You can write to them I guess, but I wouldn't bank on getting an acknowledgement, let alone an answer:sad:

So they don't want to or can't be associated with Dr. Cringle on air

But in their ebay shop, they are still very proud to be

Feel comfortable this season in these versatile chop out loafer shoe from footwear specialist Dr Cringles.

I'm sure I read somewhere not so long ago about their buying team who flew out 'to the far east' to discuss products - I'm sure it was either on a blog or their Facebook page? It was to do with their new 'Elegance' range.

Come to think of it I'm pretty sure it was on their Facebook page and I think they named the supplier at the time....

Tommy/Kate and Dr. Cringles are probably a stones throw from the same factory no doubt!

I emailed twice to ask about those & never received a response.
On hotukdeals a person posted a video on how a lot of the down/feathers are obtained for most products in Asia... it was horrific to say the least. Picture this, lots of very young ducks & geese being held down (whilst alive) on a table whilst having their down/feathers torn off them.. then they are just thrown on the floor with massive bleeding of which most will be in agony & die.

You can see about it on here: Please do not click link if you are likelly to get upset

I wouldn't normally post such a link but I think its important that people know what they could be buying, most of us wouldn't buy cosmetics tested on animals yet this is equally as bad and not many people are aware of it.

I'm not saying the products on bid are manufactured using this method but they havn't emailed me back so I simply don't know, also its illegal to obtain down/feathers in this manner in the uk/us & most of europe but its still happens massively in Asia where its mostly allowed... hence why we are seeing so many duck & goose feather/down products at really really low prices as its just getting imported in mass quantities from Asia.

I wouldn't be surprised if those piddling little diamonds they knock out aren't chips off blood diamonds

I noticed some rare honesty from Kiri when she was taking about Cringles shoes and said that 'we've developed these for men'

I like Kiri. She's always so cheerful and not as pushy as most
