Earlier he sold 3 diamond items 1 had 0.20ct and they displayed this on the screen, start price was £105, sold for £49.95

Next had a tiny amount of 0.14ct and funny they didn't show that on the screen and Peter never mentioned it and the start price was only £35 and it sold for £19.99

Final piece was only 0.08ct in each earring...start price £30 and it sold at £16.97 and again no mention of it on the screen or from Peter

I could be wrong but the way I read a recent ruling I don't think they are obliged to specifically mention 'gram weight' and being completely fair to Sit Up even Argos don't always mention the gram weight of Gold pieces on their website.

However, keep an eye out for any specific claims about the value of the item on sale without stating the gram weight (for example what you might get for it if you sold it, or asking questions like how much you would expect to pay for a similar item elsewhere without mentioning the gram weight, meaning a customer couldn't possibly make an informed comparison).

If you observe anything along those lines then please do contact the ASA and refer to this ruling, it's totally unfair and shouldn't happen.

And it's also worth mentioning that the scrap value of 0.8g of 9ct gold is £8.50 which is actually less than the usual cost of p+p and phonecall.

They're so generous aren't they!
