On Saturday night she bought a dress live on air. Last night, at about 12:45 am, she went to buy another dress but missed out, so she bought the next item which was bedding (£9.99 + P&P) and then she bought the next item - set of 2 pillows (£5.99 + P&P). She then said "I'm going to have to buy the next item to get my £10 free credit...I'd be silly not to", and she ended up buying a Buddha! (£9.99 + P&P)!

Just typical of Lisa, but this is exactly why bid does the £10 credit promo. Would Lisa have bought the Buddha if she wasn't getting a voucher? Of course not!

She then said "Now I can wait for the dress to come back on and use my £10 voucher on it." Let's hope she knows about the dates which she can use it and how she can redeem it ;)

i find it hard to knock lisa, she does well considering she works (what i assume to be) the death slots of the week.

I wonder if Lisa would be tempted by this unique Rosa Benini handbag, that Dirty Peter described as 'A style icon bag'.

Lisa is giving it loads again about her 'background in art'.

She usefully said 'I do have credentials where I can ACTUALLY comment on Artwork because I did work in one of the biggest and finest Art Galleries in the UK, I actually managed it. So I was trained in, erm, you know, I, I was trained to erm, have a eye for art'.

Well that's cleared that up then, i'm sorry I ever doubted her credentials.

She worked at one of the 'Whitewall Galleries' in Newcastle.

Yes, we know as she never tires of telling us when selling prints in cheap frames of the master that is Kinkade. There's a Whitewall in Liverpool, it's hardly Saatchi is it?

It was more her description of why she is an expert that I was highlighting, 'I was trained in, erm, you know, I, I was trained to erm, have a eye for art'.

That is a direct quote, word for word :giggle: She can't have worked there for very long, she only left Sit-Up in around March 2011 and she was back at Sit Up in January 2012!!

Lol! That's what I was meaning... It's not a 'high class' establishment
by any means.

She even said (possibly referring to us) that she has read some comments on forums about art but stressed you don't have to be posh to be an expert.

You don't have to be posh, of course not. But I think it takes a bit more than managing a gallery in Newcastle for a few months to really learn the trade

Who would you say is the better art expert - Lisa or our very own Steve Macdonald? Our Steve worked at Global Fine Arts - know anything about them?

I feel they both have individual strengths.

Lisa demonstrates a clear affinity with surrealism, I understand she specialised in the works of Dali and Rousseau. It has been said the London Evening Standard Art Critic Brian Sewell often asks her to comment as he relies on her less conservative view.

Steve on the other hand clearly leans towards cubism.
