my hermes carrier says that if i refuse delivery i did not take ownership of the parcel therfore dont sign for it. never had a problem

It's yours as soon as your payment is taken.
By refusing delivery you are simply not accepting delivery. It remains your property until QVC receive it back and refund your money. If Hermes attempted to deliver to the wrong address by mistake and they refused delivery..the item would still belong to you.

thats what my hermes carrier said and the lands end customer services informed me. made sense to me anyway.
