Just received email to advise that item ordered at midnight 30/31st is being despatched today

Totally ridiculous in this day and age considering the cost of postage.

Just before Christmas I had to order a new desktop PC. I ordered it on a Thursday. By the following Tuesday it had been built, tested, run in and despatched. It arrived at my house on the following Tuesday!

I think the same thing happened last year didn't it, they put so much into quick deliveries before christmas and then for the couple of weeks afterwards deliveries were painfully slow.

Having said that, I ordered something in the Next sale a couple of days before Christmas and my expected dispatch date is the middle of January, rubbish!
