OK, I'm not an expert or a "jewellery professional" but I have always dreamed of a piece of Imperial jade. After holidays in the Far East I realized that this was a pipe dream and apple jade was the best I could hope for.
The Imperial jade I have seen and coveted is a bright emerald colour with translucency and vibrancy, I also know the kind of prices it fetches.
I was at least surprised to hear Rachel Hatton describing her pieces as imperial, genuine jadeite yes but certainly not of great quality, impossible at the price.
Perhaps she is right and I am wrong???????
