Checked the T&C as VAT is 20% so wondered how they got 16%

"Discount of 16.67% has been applied to the pre-promotional selling price, representing the vat that would have been payable."

They are correct Sazza, but you're right, it is complicated, but for example, if you buy something for £24.00, £4.00 is VAT because VAT is added on, so the item is actually £20.00 + 20% VAT.
But, to take the VAT off something, it is only 16.67% that you discount. £24.00 - 16.67% is £20.00.

Sorry, does that make it any clearer? I know exactly what I mean, but putting it into actual words is another matter.
