I suspect this is a little window into the real man behind the endless fakery and toe-curling ‘comedy’. His parting comment is particularly revealing: “A man of my age, ridiculous!”
Couldn't agree more, although in this instance I think it’s a classic case of (to borrow a famous Shakespearean line) “The lady doth protest too much, methinks" :mysmilie_17:

Reminds me how awful thatnetwork had become. I really hope IWDoesn't plumb those depths!
 
Difficult to tell if genuine or not. They are all "acting" virtually all of the time, anyway (pity none of them can actually act).
