Shadazzle returns!

Looking ahead on the schedule I see that IW have their Two Tub Shadazzle back as Pick of the Day again!
Aside from the fact that this product is over hyped and that Astonish paste which is its equal is currently available in your favourite brand of pound store it always occurs to me how any channel really can demonstrate a cleaning product be it chemical, non chemical, steam etc etc. Making an item 'dirty' in such a way that a live demonstration makes it appear that the product is some form of miracle is a skill in itself. Perhaps we all have to be sucked in once before we realise that what they have mocked up as 'baked on' is nothing like the reality of your oven door, your pan base, your bbq grill, your shower screen etc etc.
So still these products, of which Shadazzle is just the current worst example, are hailed as something wonderful until the customers feedback and reviews is accepted as the reality. I have no doubt that these products are selling in their millions but I would suggest that the significant number is how many purchasers are going back for more.
So brace yourself for this evenings screamings of Genevieve - or better still turn to the dullest shopping television experience which is the Rocks and Gold Outet - 'This is nice; tanzanite; at cost; sold' repeat!!

QVC sell the 'Ego Egg' branded version but it's exactly the same product made from a unique French Chalk. Only the Family who own the Chalk Mine make the actual product, they sell it on to companies to brand and package for themselves.

I can't speak for the presentations just for my self. I bought this on the last pick of the day and I found it absolutely brilliant, honestly I wouldn't say otherwise. My shower cubicle floor has had this discolouration that happened not long after we bought it (it's acrylic and nothing would clean it) the cubicle doors would never come up shiny with anything we used and believe me we used a lot. So I bought the Shadazzle as a last ditch attempt (I've tried the Poundland in too) and the Shadazzle brought my shower cubicle up like new, so it's worth it for that alone, every time we have a shower it seems to re clean itself too. So I tried it on my cooker and all the jobs I struggle with round the house and it's brought everything up like new, so I personally wouldn't use anything else. Sorry to ruin your second post in two years but I felt I had to give my experience.

Difference is though Wirral, you can buy as many as you want and it would still only be £5.99 p&p where as QVC only half their postage, so if you buy five Shadazzle p&p would be £5.99 where as the QVC one would be £12.50. The POTD will come down to £20.

Why would anyone want to buy loads of either of them? The German man says you only need to use a tiny bit and therefore each pot last for months.

I wouldn't buy either, if I ever need something with a mild abrasive effect I use good old Cif or just a paste of Bicarbonate of Soda but to be honest I don't need anything so miraculous as Shadazzle as rarely does anything get in the state that our German friends items seem to get in.

Steam is good for some things too and we know how much Ideal love steam!:mysmilie_59:

I've had to buy four lots already, because the mother in law took three, two for her and one for her friend to try, I've also gave the two daughter in laws one each, so I'm left with two, so yeah I can see people buying them in multiples but to be honest I was just using it as an example that QVCs p&p can bring the price up. I wouldn't give QVC 1p anyway so it really makes no difference to me what they charge. :mysmilie_14:

Her Nail Technician
Her Dresser (clearly needs their eyes Shadazzling)
Her Hairdresser (definitely needs their eyes Shadazzling)
Her Make Up Artist (needs more than Shadazzling, an eye transplant can't be ruled out)

She doesn't ever seem to wear those multiples of 'Styled By' and 'Nicole' clothes she supposedly buys.

She's had at least 2 and maybe 3 outfits on today, I haven't seen any of them on sale on Ideal World. Maybe they're for the Neighbours too? :mysmilie_59:

Look at the mess that 'Chef' William, Roly Poly Remblance and BIG BRODEL have made of the Oven.

I've told them to use the Kitchen M8 Halogen which is so easy to clean but will they? :mysmilie_59:

Shadazzle is back to its normal price now of £29.99 & £5.99 P&P so consider the Eco Egg branded version on QVC at £16.48 & £4.95 P&P which is exactly the same product but with a fragrance choice (it's very rare, if ever, I recommend using QVC but the price differential here is massive)

I've only just noticed that you also get 4 Sponges and 2 Microfibre Cloths with QVC's Eco Egg branded version so even better value if you use such products (you only get 3 Sponges with Shadazzle)

I think they're both well overblown and well overpriced but that just my opinion :mysmilie_59:

I am sure i recall my mother at least 40years ago using the same thing i think it was astonish though not sure one thing is for sure it could not have been more than couple of quid these prices are unreal a bit like RJs garden products

I honestly cannot believe that punters fell for that German Geysers Guff.

Did you see the state of the outside of the Oven that William, Joe and BB always use (that's when they're not shilling a Halogen or Kitchen M8). I've never seen it like that, it always looks pristine to my eye.

But Shadazzle (ding) to the rescue. It cut through that really ground in, deep grime in nano seconds. And at just £36 for two little pots all in it has to be yet another Ideal World uber bargain.

Get this guys. Poo Poo is shilling an 'Extra Applicator for Shadazzle' for an obscene £3.99 & £1.99 P&P. He says 'It's a very clever Scientific Development, now these do not scratch, they're not abrasive'.

Now come on Poo Poo, it's not really a Scientific Development is it? It's a small Sponge, a small, almost £6 Sponge.

To recap that's almost £6, almost SIX POUNDS, for ONE SMALL SPONGE :mysmilie_13:

This stuff is really good at removing dried on gravy browning by the looks of it. So if I ever need to remove that, I'll rush to buy Shadazzle.

Then again, I could use a drop of fairy liquid and some warm water.

Mine isn't, but it looks IW and QVC are. They have gravy browning everywhere. On cooker hobs, ovens, grills, pans, sinks, even on carpets. Every wonder cleaner they demonstrate clean it all up. Even the stuff you water down with one teaspoon full in a bath full of water!

We've got Gravy Browning on our Blinds, on our Car, on our iPads, in our Hair, we've even got Gravy Browning in our Shower.

I mentioned the Shadazzle to Mrs Ranger yesterday and she informed me that we have been using something called 'The Pink Stuff' for quite some time. It's not a sexist thing but Mrs Ranger is chief cook and cleaner in our household-I do the decorating, household DIY, dog walking, etc. Works well for us. Anyway, this Pink Stuff can be purchased on Amazon for a total of £3.50 (inc delivery). My good lady informs me that "it does the business" and I have no reason to disagree with her. Our place is spotless. (I don't think Mrs Ranger uses a 'specialist' sponge with the Pink Stuff, but she wouldn't have paid much more than 50p if she does :mysmilie_59
