I put a ring in my basket earlier tonight and then added another one about 5 minutes ago. I then went to my basket and guess what? It was empty and said "you have no items in your basket"!! After mouthing off about how I hadn't had any problems with my orders I thought 'Oh well that'll teach you'!! However, I refreshed the screen by pressing F5 and still nothing so I tried again and again nothing. Not being one to give up easily I tried once more and hey presto my two items have re-appeared in my basket!

Now I haven't tried to checkout yet but fingers crossed.........!

ps I've taken a screen print of my basket just in case they vanish again!

***UPDATE***

Four minutes later and one of the items now says:-

* SORRY, THIS ITEM IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR PURCHASE IS NOT
CONFIRMED UNTIL YOU CHECK OUT. PLEASE CHECK OUT SOONER TO SECURE YOUR CHOICE.
TO CHECK OUT, YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE THIS ITEM.

Not a happy bunny to say the least!! I will be sending the screenprints to Rocks Helper, Andrew and Gav.

Klos, I sympathise entirely! I had the same thing happen yesterday...added item, left pc long enough to get plastic and item gone 2 minutes later! Its getting ridiculous trying to shop with Rocks&Co just lately. I also kept the screenprints of my items too (after i figured out how to do it).

They tell you not to check out until you've finished shopping or you'll be charged extra p&p and then they tell you that if you don't check out you could lose the item. This is really frustrating Rocks&Co!

Tabs or Klos, could you please share the secrets of keeping screenprints with us - have a feeling I might need it.

As the others are not about Jacqualina I'll tell you about screen capture if that's okay?

On your keyboard you have a key that has Prt Sc on it (or similar), on my keyboard it's above the Delete and Insert key.

When you're on the screen that you want to capture press the Prt Sc key and it will copy the page to your clipboard. Open any program that will accept pictures and paste into it, a specialist graphics program, Windows Paint, even Word will accept it. I hope that makes some sense, I know I'm carp at explaining. Forgot to say that then you save it with a recognizable name somewhere you remember that you put it!

If you only get a small window you can press and hold Alt while doing the Prt Sc key, that will only do the smaller active window.

Thanks so much for that Jan - I'm absolutely hopeless with computers (as my daughters constantly take great delight in pointing out to me). Keep meaning to go on a course, but just never get around to it.

I've had quick replies to my PM's so very pleased with the excellent response. I think until the system is upgraded/updated we just have to order by phone to be on the safe side. I have no doubts that everyone is working hard to fix these teething problems and we do have to remember thay the channel was set up as a Fixed Price format so they weren't equipped to cope with the Falling Auctions. I for one don't mind waiting because I love the product range and wouldn't have so many beautiful pieces had it remained a Fixed Price channel so I'll just take the good with the not so good just now and have confidence it will be fixed asap.

With regard to the Screen Prints Jacqualina - Hold down the ALT button and press PRT SC (Print Screen) then open Word or the likes and hold down Ctrl and press V and that will put the screen print on to a word doc for saving. I do that with anything I buy on the web to keep a copy of the original order.

Many thanks Jan and Klos - no, I haven't tried it yet. Been in the garden finally getting my bulbs in as it's such a beautiful day.
I agree with you Klos, we can't expect things to improve until the new systems are in place and I'm prepared to put up with it for now. However, if you can't cope with all the gremlins, it is probably better to order by phone or wait until the New Year. I'm expecting a few deliveries this weeks (grrrr - see Meesh's thread) all ordered over the web, so fingers crossed.
