However, you can still catch price-drop on Sky 645, Virgin TV 741, Freesat 801 and online at www.price-drop.tv.

As a Freeview customer, you will be able to continue receiving fantastic value on products at prices well below the High Street on bid tv channel 23 hosted by your favourite presenters.

To kick off the New Year bid tv will have a new presentation line up and will also be running a number of their popular Megadrop offers, where selected product will fall to just £1. Tune in to bid tv on Saturday January 10th for tempting new Bedroom Styles for that Spring makeover, invigorating Fitness Focus on January 11th and a Technology Weekend for the best value sound and vision on January 17th & 18th.

This is good news for me, although not for my credit card! On the bid.tv forum I'd read that it was bid that was leaving freeview, not price-drop. I much prefer the presenters on bid so I'm glad it's the one that's staying.

I'm surprised they are leaving - I'd have thought any shopping channel would want maximum exposure to the public and be on as many tv systems in this day and age. Not everyone has Sky or Cable tv.

'Twas me who posted that Bid were leaving Freeview, that was my info at the time. I shall miss a couple of the presenters on Price-Drop :(

Not sure that dropping pricedrop (as opposed to bid.tv) from Freeview was the best decision.

In my freeview region bid.tv has always stopped broadcasting at 7pm while pricedrop broadcast till closedown.

From today, Freeview viewers won't see pricedrop or bid.tv after 7pm so those who work during the day and maybe have disposable income, won't be viewing either channel in the evenings.
