We've been waiting weeks for the silver chains to come back in to stock, and they are now back on the website.

Katherine said yesterday that the price of silver has rocketed, and all the prices of the silver chains previously were wrong, that's why they've gone up so much.

I've previously paid £3 for an 18" Prince of Wales chain, I assume the 2g weight, as it was very substantial.

Check out these two links and see if you can spot the discrepancy. OK the second one doesn't give gram weight but..............

Yep, the cheaper one is WHITE GOLD as opposed to SILVER:33:

Honest opinion - I wouldn't pay £18 for a silver chain!! Regarding the prices being a mistake I don't think they would sell the whole stock and not realise this! Its a shame as lots of peeps were waiting for the chains to arrive!

Me either BH, not when I've paid less than £10 or so for the pendant!!!!

If it is the case that silver has gone up loads then why are 18" silver prince of wales chains weighing 3g only £2.92 on Gems TV????

Whilst I have the utmost respect for Rocks, I think they may have shot themselves in the foot with this one. You can get silver chains elsewhere for not just a couple of pounds less but considerably less. Bought a lovely silver chain from our local High Street jewellers for just £8. Ok, £2 or £3 was perhaps ridiculous but the prices they are charging now are equally ridiculous. Also, the way they have the chains on the website, you can only buy them as an existing customer anyway. Perhaps needs a rethink. :33:

Hi everyone, we've looked in to this and the wrong prices were entered. We're fixing it right now. Sorry for the confusion.

Many thanks

John

I've been waiting for silver chains to come back into stock too. I need three 16" chains immediately (birthdays looming) and probably another 3 or 4 in the near future. I currently have an empty basket so have been unable to browse the new selection of chains and their revised prices yet. The chains I want were VZ318 but I daresay the new chains have new numbers now.

It seems daft to buy pendants for such wonderfully low prices then pay £18 for a chain!

The price increase does strike me as being disproportionate and I wonder if a mistake has been made.

John, while we're on the subject of chains, could I suggest that they are listed on the Coloured Rocks website. Many an existing customer could find themselves in the position I am currently in - requiring a chain but unable to view/purchase as their basket is empty at the moment.
