This Saturday at 12pm on GemsTV1, we have a wonderful show that must not be missed! Join us as we showcase our new Hidden Treasures range of collectables.

Each collectable animal has a hidden secret. Not only will you be getting a beautifully crafted and hand painted ornament, adorned with Austrian crystals and either silver or 24 carat gold plating, but each one is a charming keepsake box, with a tiny treasure hidden inside for you to wear and adore.

This show will be just a taste of more to come, so tune in at midday on Saturday for your chance to start your own collection.

I agree with you MissM, it smacks of desperation. I've also seen in another thread that Derek has gone (who can blame him?). Whatever next??

Looks like tacky, 10 token bingo prizes to me

I'll be very interested to see whether any of the presenters can emerge from an hour of presenting these horrors with even the tiniest shred of credibility left intact!

i have just put it on to see 'a pair of wonderful kissing swans, they are so in love these two'. the presenter informs me that 'they will sit majestically' on my mantle piece and for only 52.50... kinda makes me glad i havent got one.

my goodness! its a happy elephant now with 'wonderful golden crystals'. i guess the theme is 'wonderful' lol the presenter is obviously trying to convince himself because the buying public are rushing in like nobodies business, they dont need any convincing it seems.
i am off before they try to flog me the stoat

oh FFS! tears and fury! the elephant has sold out! and they cant promis me that they will ever be coming back!!!! oh woe is me!

Have GTV become an environmental hazard? This stuff needs to go straight to landfill and won't even recycle.

I too just had to look. Matthew - keep workin' it baby. Some are actually selling out?

He has been telling us the name of the manufacturer at regular intervals, so I took the opportunity of checking it out on the web. Never had a chance for such an absolute and certain exact comparison before.

Guess what - overpriced - what a surprise! Gems are selling at rrp. Who does this these days?

If there is anyone who does like them and is looking at this, check out the web first for The Arora Design Co. Hidden Treasures. Very interesting. Nothing we didn't know in our heart of hearts, but its helpful to be certain.

Many thanks Argy for the link, I tried googling but was obviously spelling the name incorrectly.

Took a look at the website and oooohhh - they have even more bird collectables.
But I would think its only the Gems ones that have the 'Hidden Treasure'.

:33: Now which ones shall I choose...............to add to the ones I've already ordered from Matt.

So sorry Sacha - but no saving grace for Gems I'm afraid. The range is called Hidden Treasures precisely because of the "hidden treasure" if that's what we can call it. If it bears that name then it contains another piece of old tat. Also they've been done before by, I think, Ideal World.

Dear God. Is Gems trying to compete with the Pound Shop?
