PRESS RELEASE

The team at Peterborough based shopping channels Ideal World and Create and Craft, part of Ideal Shopping Direct plc, are celebrating after walking away with two top awards at the renowned ‘Craft Hobby & Stitch International Awards 2009’, held at the NEC in Birmingham recently.

Both shopping channels won top honours in two categories, ‘TV Shopping Channel of the Year for Craft’ and ‘TV Presenter of the Year for Craft’, which was awarded to Create and Craft presenter Stephanie Weightman. This is the second year in a row the company has been awarded these accolades.

The Craft Hobby & Stitch Awards are now in their tenth year and attract major international players in the craft industry. This has made success even more rewarding for staff.

Nicky Marsh, Create and Craft Brand Manager, who collected the award for TV Shopping Channel of the Year for Craft, commented: “We’re delighted with both awards which are testament to the hard work of everyone who works for both channels. We have a dedicated and skillful team who really do push the boundaries when it comes to the viewers’ enjoyment of art and crafts.

“Well done to Stephanie too, who thoroughly deserves this award. Our viewers are continually inspired by Steph’s ability to create unique and interesting designs live on air.”

Not a surprise really that they should win these particular awards. They spend enough money with the organisers/publishers! Plus C&C are "sponsors" of the Stitch & Craft shows.

What really is a surprise is the fact they failed to win more than 2!

When did she do that then? :33:
