I feel very sorry for Mark Ryes

Please don't all jump on me from a great height:sad: Just imagine if you were so bitter and twisted that you had no friends and so lonely that you were reduced to posting every little detail of your day on Twitter. What a sad, barren souless life. Made worse by the fact that you brought it all...

    Spud growing kit

There's a bloke on now flogging a 'potato growing kit,,(black bucket, compost and seed potaotes) It took me back over 36 years to when we were first married and didn't have too much money. We used an old plastic dustbin found in a skip, 1 growbag mixed with 1 bag of compost ( couldn't afford 2...

    I've heard it all now

When the 'mummy autopsy' finished on Quest, we turned over to pricedrop and that spiv Steve McDonald was selling those cheap old blankets with sleeves... You know the ones? Cheap flimsy material. You see them at street markets and cheapo shops for £4.99. He said, with a dead straight face, that...

    Peter Simon

I saw him, the first time for ages, last Sunday. He looked like he had been dug up and hit with the spade. Really pale and poorly. I know he has had cardiac treatment in the past and to me, looks as if he needs time off. He was well away, camping it up ( still using Larry Grayson's old material)...

Not just fallen off the wagon, but positively leapt!

Thank goodness I only weigh at the end of each month, but even then I don't think I'll have much of a loss for February. This is the damage report. Friday: Indian taken from ASDA. It had the lot... and I mean the lot. Saturday: Sausage eggs and chips (chips done it the actifry and sausages...

If ever there was an example of what is a 'SPIV'... this person is it

    Dammit!

I've been doing really well up to now. gained a bit over Chrismas but got it off mid January. Did I blow it yesterday !! I went to a 'Taste of Vienna' promo and all I can say, is that I tasted well! Dreading the scales. I didn't go mad, but as I am on a low fat diet..... Oh dear!

Viruses. Why do they do it?

What a time I have had! Normally, if I get a virus attack on this laptop, a pop up tells me and my antivirus deals with it. I run a quick scan every day, and a full one once a week. Well last evening I ran a full scan and at the end this message came up 'Critical! Following virus detected...

    Merry Christmas...

... to all the price droppers and bidders who make this forum such a laugh. We are away now until the new year so keep the forum warm for me.

remember when you could get a bargain?

Until recently, although they mostly sold rubbish, now and again you could get a real bargain. I remember buying several everyday leather handbags from them, and some circon costume jewellery; cheap and cheerful but this was reflected in the price. A couple of years ago, we bought a Viners 6...

Might they drop a channel from Freeview?

Situps don't seem to be doing very well as in indicated in the extra hard sell. A while ago they dropped price drop from freeview and concentrated on the satellite channels. Maybe they'll do this again to save some money?

O.K! Now is there anyone we like?

Christmas is coming, season of goodwill etc etc. Is there anyone on situps that we like? Presenter... assistant... sweeperuper? I like Peter Sherlock and also Lisa Celiste (is that how you spell it?... the one who is always on about her Willy... it didn't sound as dirty as that when I wrote it)

    Is my husband right?

He INSISTS that Peter Simon was flogging a dreadful china figure of himself, which Doulton or Worcester or some other firm have made as a tribute to his numtyodd years as an 'entertainer' and his charity work. All proceeds from that particular sale going to one of his charities. Hubby said he...

    Oh Thod it!

A dear sweet old lady in our road has bought me, as a thankyou for doing her shopping and washing etc when she came out of hospital, three scarflaces. She hasn't spent more than she can afford because she is the widow of a solicitor and very comfortable. BUT I wish she had donated the money to...

    Miche bags

I wish I wish I wish Oh boy how I wish that they did them in a bigger size. Several of my friends have them, and they are just too small for me to get any use out of them as they are. Shame.

    Lisa Celise

Any idea when she is getting married? I thought it was this summer so have I missed it? She is one of my favourite people on the shoppers

    Why did John Barrowman bother?

He was flogging his latest CD, looked as if he had just crawled out of a skip without combing his hair or putting his makeup on. He didn't even know exactly what tracks were on it. I don't know if things got better because I switched off and finished the ironing listening to the radio. If he...

What on earth is happening to QVC?

It is getting so boring, so tacky and so cheap and nasty that it is more like the situps than the situps. Pretty soon all that will be left to watch is ideal World when you fancy a bit of a trot around the shoppers.

    Cash in the Attic

Before I go any further I'm not sure which shopper it was on, but as the Situps rubies always look so milky and dull I presumed it was from one of their channels Anyway! On Cash in the Attic, one of the things found was a ruby ring bought from a shopping channel a few years back for quite a bit...

    James Russell

I don't think he is quite so irritating this time round? I admit that I rarely watch situps but this week I've been laid up with a tummy bug and have been watching the shoppers more. I was quite surprised how mature he was acting and non of that sidling up to the camera with the 'Oh dear we're...
