With a haul like that I'm not surprised you are watching so closely, Argey!
I'm just dotting back andforth so missing most! I think the merelani mint garnet ring is lovely... reasonable gold weight too, which is important to me.

Me too Miss M. I like to feel the presence of any jewellery I wear, and also that if I have a crisis I can always sell for scrap if nothing more. It's also nice to know they'll have some fiscal value to my daughter when I pop me clogs. I'd hate to leave her a pile of jewellery that was good for nothing at all. xxx

Great haul.....thanks for sharing

Wow a varied and plentiful basket Argey. With such hefty gold weights and some very nice pieces, I nominate you for the

'Canny Shopper of the Week' Award...........

I love the design of the Rhodolite Garnet ring in WG, have admired it from afar for a long time. Also hold on to the Purple Spinel pendant, great price and not so easy to come by nowadays. Well done!

I've always found that Gems older designs were very generous in the gold department, and this has spoiled me for some of the newer stuff (and Rocks & Co) which, although smashing in design just don't have chunky enough bands for my taste. xx

Arge I can only second what Sacha has said - do not dump the purple spinel, mint garnet or Chrysoberyl pendant (I love love love the design of that one). If you want to cull one, go for the Pad Coloured Sapphire - it's a tad too orange (unless that's what you're looking for).

At your request Argey - I've just culled my basket and stupidly dumped a lovely black and white diamond ring that was 1.6ct and £325 - WHAT was I thinking!

Here's some I'm definitely going to get for a look:

http://www.gemstv.co.uk/Shop/productDataSheet.jsp?productid=UTG6641&menuselection=0 £27.76 - getting this to tear out of the setting and re-use the Zircons (if they're good) in another piece.
Spot the theme that then develops! lol
http://www.gemstv.co.uk/Shop/productDataSheet.jsp?productid=UYG3437&menuselection=0 £148.37
http://www.gemstv.co.uk/Shop/productDataSheet.jsp?productid=UMY2483&menuselection=0 £199 - I adore this, it looked fabulous on screen
http://www.gemstv.co.uk/Shop/productDataSheet.jsp?productid=UXC0655&menuselection=0 £249
http://www.gemstv.co.uk/Shop/productDataSheet.jsp?productid=UKT3762&menuselection=0 £30

And still shopping - just seen Drew air something coming up later .......

Haven't we done well Meesh. I love that little diamond shaped pink/w diamond too. I've seen it a couple of times and it looks so pretty. I'm not big on diamonds (except for the truly rare and spectaculous) but I do like that one and there's a little black and white square, a reasonable sized white surrounded by 3 or 4 rows of black with a nice wide band, which was about £300 I think. xxxxx

Did anyone see this beauty. It was a one off and I can't find it on the website to give you a better image. It was huge and could knock your eyes out - ruby and diamonds :cool2:

Trouble is I've lost my appetite for my little bits and pieces now :envy: xxxxxx

'Tis on the website now, which if it was a one-off presumably means it hasn't sold:

We can't all be the same I suppose, but I have to confess I don't really like it very much! (Sorry Arge...)

That's okay MissM <a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxpt484YYGB%2526i%253D14%252F14%255F6%255F2%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/14/14_6_2.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D14%252F14_6_2%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a>

It did sell suspiciously fast (immediately on the first drop), somebody may well have been blinded and over-awed. Once again though the imaging is hopeless. The colour and sparkle was a real knockout job, but I appreciate this wouldn't be to everyone's taste. xxx

On air that Ruby ring was stunning. Even Hubby commented on it (and that's a very rare occasion)! I can't believe the website price. How much did it close for on air - wasn't it around the £700 mark?

Yes Meesh I think it was actually £599 but it happened so fast I can't be sure, but I know if I could I'd have paid £700 for it.

Why on earth don't they sort their imaging out? It's so rubbish I'm sure it must lose custom. I wouldn't shop here if I had to rely on the website. xxx

I don't seem to be lucky with spotting anything. At the moment they have the most awful PT I think I've ever seen. A horrible light grassy green (reminds me of peridot) with an Everest window and lots of inclusions. Must admit I can't be bothered to sit and watch though.

Sadly it does take a little patience Jacqualina, and fortunately I am blessed with plenty of free time. I find if I have the telly on and chat here, I can manage so long as the volume is very low. T'other way is to have the Gems webpage open on your poot while you watch telly or do whatever else takes your fancy. Everything has a price I'm afraid and in this case it's toleration of certain presenters :cheeky:

i use to think Sam very dull to listen to but i sat and watched her thursday and it was quite refreshing to have a calm and controlled presenter the statement on silver rings from a few others saying this items normal price should be £123 do i look as if i have just surfaced for the first time from a swamp perhaps that why they were left if they were asking that for a silver ring but i will agree there have been some brilliant bargains miss the red adestines though ,not quick enough and they have no tanzanian rubies at all in stock which is what i really wanted
