It seems to be on now, though with no sound. Maybe not a bad thing. QVC Active wasn't working either earlier.

I don't even know why I keep looking! I hate those tacky Christmas shows and I have resolved not to buy anything for the next week because I am going on holiday and I don't want stuff coming while I'm away. Nearly three weeks without me buying anything <img src="http://groups.ebay.co.uk/images/emoticons/shocked.gif" /> - QVC will go bankrupt!

The current item is a Superbright LED torch with batteries, Christmas in July price £9.10. It's a shame there's no sound really - I'd quite like to hear what on earth that has to do with Christmas!

Ah, the penny drops! They're hoping you'll buy all this tat for Christmas presents.

I'm afraid that I cannot tune into Christmas preparation mode until late October or even later. I tend to favour late summer holidays and it always depresses me to return to Christmas decorations in the major stores. Personally it does nothing to encourage me to start shopping for presents anyway. It is a shame that this has now become so commercialised. I do admire people who can do all their shopping in advance and not have the last minute panic, but sadly it does not work for me.
I actually like celebrating Christmas but don't want to do it for 5 months of the year - strangely enough the QVC Christmas in July programmes don't really bother me too much because I just don't watch on the day.


I have got side tracked as I came on here to enquire about the guarantee situation. Last October I did buy some remote control cars from another channel which lasted 2 hours before they both packed up on Boxing Day. Fortunately I did not get any hassle with obtaining a refund but it has made me more wary of buying too far in advance. As QVC tends to have a six month guarantee in most cases, it would not be valid for very long after you have given the item as a present to someone. Has anyone ever had a problem with any product bought in July as a Christmas present?

I love Christmas and buy small gifts and stocking fillers as and when I see them but these QVC shows, especially 'Muscal Christmas World', are just too tatty.

P.S. I won't even put QVC on today either. Have to agree that the items do seem rather tatty, just don't appeal to me. If you do like the things on offer I'm positive they can be picked up far cheaper elsewhere!!

I don't do Christmas in July, in fact I don't do Christmas at any time!!!! :laughing:

I agree with you BusyLizzie, I wont bother put QVC on today either. The items are not really my thing, Its bit early to be thinking about christmas although I suppose it will soon be upon us.

i bet they wish they were off air during Kathy's demo for the paper shredder.....

what bliss Kathy Tatlor silent for over an hour what heaven that woman is so annoying.

I agree with you! I have a pressie bag in my cupboard which I put things in throughout the year (although last year I decided I didn't really like what I'd bought for people and had to buy something else for them ). I saw a couple of minutes this AM because I forgot it was Christmas Day, and promptly turned off when I saw the TSV. CC is definitely safe today!!

Oh bless, I quite like Kathy due to the fact that she's not as polished in her presenting as everyone else - AND she admits to her true size in clothing! What happened with the shredder?!

Am so disappointed in the shows so far this year.. seems to me,most items came from Del Trotter's suitcase..! Have given up, lost interest in it all, am going to do all the housework ready for what I am expecting to be a good watching day tomorrow..!

Can't stand Christmas being brought forward any earlier, it's bad enough in bluddy December.
