The pearls are actually slightly graduated in size which I wasn't expecting but looks good. This is a close-up of the largest pearls

Absolutely lovely!

They look absolutely beautiful - feel quite envious! I'm sure you'll receive lots of compliments so enjoy wearing them.

Trying to show how Tahitian pearls compare with freshwater pearls, but it doesn't quite come across in the picture!

The middle strand is a quite expensive string of dyed freshwater pearls from Gems about four years ago.

The bottom strand is an early Rocks TV bargain lariat.

The freshwater pearls have a more distinct colour play with the pinks and greens being more obvious, but the lustre of the naturally-coloured Tahitians is in a different league altogether.

They look gorgeous! I know they weren't cheap but I think it's money well spent.

Simply gorgeous love them they look stunning.

I have the leverback earrings with the petal shaped diamond fixings.
The necklace looks like even though mine are white gold, it would match perfectly I'm so jealous.

I really really do love these pearls - it's the first piece of jewellery that I've been so excited about in a long time. Almost like a 'Eureeka' moment - now I know why people get so hooked on pearls.

I do have another little tahitian pendant to confess to you all - Gems afficionados may well be able to guess what I'm talking about but WON'T like it - off out now but I'll post a picture of it this evening.................
