Sorry, but in a company which seems to specialise in ill-mannered presenters, Ellis Ward has to be among the worst. I have rarely come across such a self-absorbed, patronising bragger as she is. Have just tried to watch the programme about cross stitch, which I love, and was horrified at the way she interrupted, tried to talk over the guests, and bragged incessantly about her holidays in Tuscany, her family etc. I'm sorry but I'm far more interested in the subject of the programme than I am in her private life, and I can only hope that her children do not display the same bad manners and contempt for other people that she constantly displays. Rant over!

Is she the one who worked at the Folies Bergeres? Why should anyone imagine that a career as an "exotic" dancer would be good preparation for television presenting? I could see modelling (Sheila, Lynne?) being an obvious step on from dancing.
I watched this and was godsmacked at how rude she was to the poor artist, she all but called him a liar and said he mustn't have gone to Tuscany but somewhere else because he'd not seen any road signs with a big black cock on them!
the woman's a crackpot.Everything about Ellis annoys me-the hectoring voice, the operatic singing, the dance moves, the cries of 'oh my goodness', the way you know she has no interest in the products. I have to say that she is probably the only shopping tv presenter I simply cannot watch.

Problem is that a lot of the presenters seem to think think they are the star of the show, instead of it being the items they are supposed to be selling. And let's face it, that is all the presenters are - sales staff. some better than others. Ellis is a presenter who is too full of herself, and I am surprised her bosses haven't had a word with her about her on screen performances.

I just want 2 add my four penneth in here as well - she is so over enthusiastic, talks over others, and yes she does think she is the star, not the product she is supposed 2 be selling. Maybe she has always been like this, maybe she is like it at home, oh dear

I fully agree with everything that has been said.
I might be wrong but I think one of her little kids had leukaemia or something, so yes, she's been under quite a bit of stress I think, having said that I've not seen her brag that much, but she does rattle on quite a lot about stuff..if you're looking for a real bragger then tune into Alison Keenan on the other side...agghhh!

I also remember her husband not been all that well a few years back, not sure if that has improved?
Have to say, before she left many moons ago, I wasn't a great fan, but when she returned shortly afterwards, she was the manic housewife and I think an absolute joy to watch, to me she comes across as the consumer champion, on the customers side and have to say I do believe anything she tells me!!

Ellis is by far the most successful presenter in terms of sales per show. Every manufacturer wants her as the presenter. Like her or not, she brings the numbers in.
