think you need to make sure you get facial (dermal?) grade, it should be finer than the ones you clean the kitchen with!
i've got quite a few off ebay over the years, very pleased with them but think they're a little too harsh for me on a daily basis now (reaching 40 has it's downside!). i still use one once a week but am back to cleanser & toner for daily use.
