I have bought the Lauren luke nbook for my DD as a stocking filler and it looks quite good. She also loves the videos by Michelle Phan who shows how to do make up by celebs etc. She has great music on the tutorials too and is such a pretty girl. She shows a great trick with a business card to apply mascara that has made a big deifference to my duff application technique.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cByuzpdXA-o

As a result of watching all of these my daughter asked for good quality make-up brushes as one of her Chrissy pressies. She also wears much less make-up but looks so much better for it as she applies it properly now!

I received an email about it.

No interest to be honest not a brand that looks interesting to me.
Her advice on application etc is the real deal from Lauren, not the palettes. Look like the YBF quality.

I did like the look of the Lauren Luke makeup palettes, although they did not spend enough time on showing the colours, especially the lip colours and blushers.. To be honest, Lauren wasn't on long at all, maybe she'll be on longer in the later show..
Im tempted by the Violet set, though would like to see the Smokey set in a bit more detail.. Is anyone here going for any of them? :mysmilie_1102:

I have the Lucious Greens palette and I love it. It's far better quality than ybf, colours are very pigmented and true. The only part I didn't get on with was the primer but then I need a hard core primer anyway. Have my eye on the violet palette next...

I think Lauren was on for less than 15mins.. An opportunity wasted.. QVC should have given her at least 30mins to go through her palettes properly, instead of cramming her in at the end of the show..

True, I also would have let play with it herself, as applying make up on her face while giving advice is really how she aquired fame and what she does best... I thought it was boring, even though the palettes look nice, and I like the idea of colour palette that suit everybody, I can see myself trying some slightly more experiemental colours with these products as the colours looked vivid and appealing but not scary...

I think its a coup for qvc to get Lauren & they should have let her play, lol.. Will you be experimenting with a palette SS? I don't mind getting one in the New Year, as I do get a bit low that time of year, so will be a nice 'pick me up'.. Think i'll double check the colours on youtube & maybe preorder the Violet.. Its good to be a bit experimental sometimes SS, lol :mysmilie_1102:
